Info Post #3: Suffocating the World

    I know that blog posts, magazine articles, and books about protecting the environment are often ignored by the public for the sake of preserving their happiness. What humans are doing to this planet is shocking, and sometimes people just want to push the truth about pollution away. They block out all of the bad stuff, but while doing that ignore the solution as well. The solution? Yes, there is a solution! It's possible to save this planet, and I hope that you read this entire post and understand that. 
   And even though I try to keep this blog happy, I really think you should know this. This info post is about how the constant usage and discarding of plastic bags is hurting the Earth, and some things we can do to stop Earth from turning into a grey planet. 

I recycle every single plastic bag I use. Will you try, too?

The New Land

Hello jammers! 

   Today this post will not be about the new item, because, as yesterday, Animal Jam is not loading at all on my computer. Instead I will tell you about where I think the new land will be and why.

   So, as the Jamaa Journal said, koalas are leaving Jamaa on a search for a new land. This is both exciting and a bit sad, but from what my friends have told me, mostly exciting. We haven't had a new land (on land) for a pretty long time, and koalas will be back once it's discovered. 

The question is, where will the new land be?

   Few outside of AJHQ can really be sure, but my guess is that it will be the mountainous region above Appondale with the brook running through it. Why? The animal leaving is a koala. Most people in Animal Jam often associate the koala with places like Appondale. And think, if AJ was in real life, wouldn't Cosmo take the shortest and easiest root from his home to find this new land? 
   There is also another possible choice for a new land: the forest below Appondale. But the likelihood of the above region being chosen is a bit higher, seeing as there is currently an unusable path connecting Appondale to it.

   Yes, I know that if I'm wrong at least one person will laugh at me, but it's worth some thought. :)

The Sidekix Are Here!

   Hey jammers! I hope you're having a nice weekend. I don't know the new item of today because my computer is being lame, but I do have some exciting news. :)

The Animal Jam "Sidekix" plush are here!

   Speaking of soon-to-be-released features, I've heard that possibly sometime this year, you will be able to play AJ in Portuguese and other languages. :)

   I have one last thing to tell you. It's about the contest. Just like last time I had a contest, only one person entered. That person was cookers113578 and, actually, they did a great job. They got everything correctly except for the last question, which I mistakenly hadn't given you many details about. I meant the actual name of a person who worked for Animal Jam, not a username. Sorry about that… ^^;

  Once Animal Jam starts working on my computer, I will send/trade the cream glove to cookers113578.

The Egg Hunt Has Begun

   Hey jammers. You probably noticed the post I put up a while ago. Sorry I was gone. I had lots to do, and quite frankly, I temporarily lost interest again. Not in Animal Jam, but blogging. Also, my friend persuaded me to buy Minecraft. So… you probably know now what else caused my absence. 

   Well, there is certainly a LOT that happened since I had left. I'll probably not get to all of it today, considering I've only just read the Jamaa Journal. I will just summarize the main new things as detailed as I can. Sorry, no pictures today. :(

   First of all, Animal Jam reached over 10 million players! Yaaaay AJ! As a celebratory gift, a new (and temporary) code has been released: 10MILLION. It gives you a cool banner to hang in your den!

   Next, the yearly egg-collecting-thingy has begun in Jamaa! There are egg-facts spread out in various public lands for you to click. Once you click them all, you receive the cool [insert mysterious prize here]!

   In this update, a not very popular animal will become unavailable. This unexpected animal is the koala, but this time they're not extinct. As the Jamaa Journal says, they're "taking a journey with Cosmo to discover a new land." On the bright side of course, a new land is coming! It's been so long since the last one came out. This will be exciting! Psst, there is a large chance that this new item will be the rocky-ish region with the stream running through it near Appondale. 

   And lastly, to add to the anticipation, a message on the back of Jamaa Journal has appeared! "It's almost time for an ADVENTURE…" it says. YES! I haven't been this excited about something on AJ since summer, when the back page in the Jamaa Journal said something about the shamans returning! Maybe the two are linked…? Most likely, actually,
It's also a weird coincidence that this happened rather shortly after I wrote the post "When Will The Shamans Return?" Or IS IT a coincidence…

When Will the Shamans Return?

Hi jammers! Today there is one new item, which is a bit similar to the croquet set of the day before yesterday.

Hmm… This probably looks similar to the croquet set because there will be a sports-related theme with the den items.

Now, enough with that and onto the main purpose of this post. When will the shamans "return"?
   I know they're now called the Alphas, but I still like calling them "shamans" because… Well, I don't know. I guess I remember myself when I was new asking "Who are the shamans?" and getting the fully told story of them from my friend who is long gone now. From the game, that is. Either way, it's my blog and I can call them what I want. 
   Anyway, most of us remember last summer in Animal Jam; when the mysterious message appeared at the back of the Jamaa Journal. Jammers danced around with happiness when they saw the silhouettes of the shamans and the tell-tale message "We will soon be returning from our journeys." We thought it would be just like the rumors; of people seeing shamans and maybe even talking to them. But sadly, so far it hasn't.
   The only signs of their "arrival" have been contests, and advertisements pasted across the web. While some people think that AJHQ is just gathering enough money, this has been going on for months. I'm starting to worry that this is as far as we'll get, that nothing more will happen other than contests and advertisements. And even though this sounds ridiculously corny, I'm starting to worry that Mira– and old Jamaa –will be just forgotten. I mean, in the new-ish Alpha video that you can watch in Jammer Central, they don't really mention Mira at all. Why would AJ do that? Is it a mistake? Or did people just not want Mira in Animal Jam anymore?
   I don't know. This has been going on for months, we were all awaiting a secret shaman appearance or some sort of cool thing to happen. So far, nothing. Nothing but the switched looks of Liza who now looks like plastic, or advertisements, or contests that barely count. I know I may look impatient, but it was last summer when the shamans were declared returning. Now, it's almost next summer. 

So… When will the shamans return?

Spring Contest!

 Contest time! 

• There will be a bunch of "Find-its" in this contest. A find-it is a picture of a place or detail in one of the public lands (not parties or dens) of Jamaa. Your job is to, as the name says, find it!

Let's Play Croquet :D

Hey jammers! Today a rather unexpected item has made it's debut into Jam Mart Furniture. 

    Some people say that this came out at random, but I'm guessing AJ released this because… Maybe some of them associate croquet with Spring? I'm actually not sure. AJ releases some items for a reason. For example, they named the fox shaman after a female pilot named Amelia Earheart. Maybe the other people are right and AJHQ just thought "Uhh… croquet is cool," and released it. (Unlikely, but still a possibility.)
    Either way, this is a cool nonmember item. Even though I don't particularly like croquet, I'll probably buy it anyway… 


   I have to tell you something. I don't think I will update the AJ Stream Library blog again. I just don't have any animal jam tales that I think are good… Plus, it also doesn't make me as happy as when I create my own original stories, not involving something already made up. I'm sorry, but I think I will take down AJ Stream Library very soon. 
   And if you're sad, I promise if one day I actually come up with an animal jam related story that isn't bad, I'll publish it on this blog, Animal Jam Stream. :)

Super Sort + Porthole

Hey jammers! Today there is one new item in stores, and a double-gems game!

  Although I hear from others that this is rereleased, I swear I've never seen this in anyone's den nor trade list. That's probably because (according to some others) I'm a newbie. 
I like this item though. It's pretty cool. ^_^

I found the new Double-Gems game in Sarepia Forest.

If you complete level 20 of Super Sort you get an achievement called "Go Green!"

A week or so ago, I was playing Splash-and-Dash and I saw quite a few glitches with the dolphins.

   For example, the dolphin in the lead here was very pixelated. Another time was when a dolphin was flickering on screen, sometimes not appearing for up to 30 seconds before flashing on screen, at the finish line.
   Another time, a dolphin was tinted red, exactly like at a wolves only party if you sit near the magma.

You should be seeing a new AJ Stream contest very soon, just to give you a heads-up. :)

The Claw Game Hates Me

 Hey jammers! Today there is one new item, sold in Jam Mart Furniture.

Hmm. This would be a neat item for those who like to make little salons in their dens. Those are fun. :)

   As the title says, the claw machine in the Trading Party must hate me. I literally tried 50 times on that claw today and didn't get anything. Not even a pair of scary horns. Maybe it's a glitch, or maybe the claw machine just doesn't want to give me anything today?

   Speaking of glitches, a few days ago I was on my other account and someone sent a trade request. I was at the Lucky Party, typing something into the purple (?) button. The trade request was three red colored items (I am a NM on there) for my snow angel from the Jamaalidays. I accepted, but when it told me the trade was complete, it told me I got a horse banner, not the colored items! I went to my den and, sure enough there was the horse banner sitting in my inventory, and my snow angel wasn't there! Luckily, I didn't prize that snow angel too much so it wasn't a big loss. 
   What do you think it was?

How to Get Into a Full Server

Hello jammers! Do you sometimes log on and want to choose a server with your friend, but they're in a full server? Here is an easy trick that lets you play with your buddy, no matter if the server is full or semi-full. :)

Step 1: Log on

Step 2: Click the server which you want to be in.

Step 3: Bam. You're done.

How it works: No matter how populated a server, people are constantly logging off. It's pretty uncommon that a server is 100% full for a period of time longer than 5 seconds, so there will always be enough room for you.

Sorry if you think that this post was pointless. I had a friend who didn't know this, so I thought that most others didn't either.

Happy Lucky Day/St. Patricks Day!

The green new item of today is sold in Jam Mart Clothing.

This is a cheap and festive item. I've always liked the clover balloons. :)
A few years ago, I found a six-leaf clover in my yard. I still have it today. ^_^

AJHQ published one of their fill-in-the-blanks toy articles for the BFF toys:

I don't really like the name, but these are very colorful and cute-ish. I hope to get some soon. :)

   On my "What do You Think?" post, a couple of people commented and gave me some good ideas. One of them was I should (like my Nonmember Den Tips post) talk about things that nonmembers can do for fun and stuff. I thought that was a good idea, so I will start it today with a selection of easy-to-obtain, green, nonmember outfits. :)

You can steal any of these little outfits if you wish. ^_^

Info Post #2: Why You Shouldn't Drink Bottled Water

   I know that the majority of this blog's views come from The United States of America. This post is– while can be read by anybody– mostly targeted towards people living there. And here's why.

   Americans buy massive amounts of bottled water, and the majority of those purchased end up in landfills. They also hurt the environment even more than that...

   Whenever you buy a bottle of seemingly pure water, know that there will be many many negative impacts on this Earth. The only planet which humanity can live on. 

   But to me it seems that bottled water companies only care about the money. All they care about is the "steady cash flow" as people get tricked into spending their money and jeopardizing even more the natural world. A tactic the companies use is putting pictures onto the plastic bottles of unnaturally clear streams, rivers, or splashes of water to make you thirsty. 

   Also, as the picture says above, tap water in the U.S.A. can be much cheaper and is much safer than bottled water. Is it honestly worth it to spend more money on something that will hurt the environment, and possibly you as well? 

   It doesn't stop there. After the bottled water is packaged and put in a vehicle, the truck needs gasoline to move. Bottled water is incredibly wide-spread and sometimes comes a very long distance. What is needed for traveling long distances by truck? Lots and lots of gasoline. Lots and lots of gasoline that poisons the air and is the main cause of air pollution. 

"Carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, is the main pollutant that is warming Earth. Though living things emit carbon dioxide when they breathe, carbon dioxide is widely considered to be a pollutant when associated with cars, planes, power plants, and other human activities that involve the burning of fossil fuels such as gasoline and natural gas. In the past 150 years, such activities have pumped enough carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to raise its levels higher than they have been for hundreds of thousands of years." –Nat Geo Article

   The manufacturing and distribution of bottled water also contributes greatly to the ever-increasing pollution in air, and the ever-decreasing polar bear habitat. 

   But there are many things you can do to help stop this. You can tell others, use a car less often, try to buy less bottled water, or stop altogether. Humans have poisoned Earth like they have another planet to live on, and it's in humanity's hands to bring pollution to a halt.

March Update!

Hello jammers! Sorry if this post is a little late, my internet connection is weak and failing. Of all days for that to happen, it had to happen on the Animal Jam update!

First, here are the new items:

Why did they bring out the February birthstone so early? Maybe an accident? Maybe for people who missed them to collect?

I'm not going to post whole pictures of Jamaa Journal pages, just segments that I found interesting.

   This is at the cover page. I wonder if they're talking about Jamaa, or the actual planet Earth. If they are talking about the real Earth, the world isn't as green as it used to be and people should help more to stop Earth from turning into a grey planet. 

Some more ideas from me are: grow a plant (it's fun!), if you want to exercise more and help prevent air pollution, stop riding in a car for as long as you can, or don't drink bottled water. Only 23% of all recycled plastic water bottles get recycled, and tap water in most places is much cleaner.

Cool! New toy sets! But they could have come up with a better name... Oh wait, they couldn't. I couldn't even. Maybe these toys were released for International Women's Day...?

Hey jammers! Wow, three days in a row there has been a new non member item! Thats unusual for this year.

This is sold in The Chamber of Knowledge in Temple of Zios. I rarely see anyone there anymore! Maybe they should change up the virtual animal books in there to something different.

A good friend of mine (who will remain anonymous) sent me this picture that they found on the internet of unreleased Animal Jam SideKix!

Even though I wont be able to buy any, I hope these come out soon! I like the crocodile especially.

Nonmember Giant Raccoon!

Hello players of Animal Jam! Today's item is for all jammers regardless of membership status! :)

   YES! AJHQ has decided to be nice again and made both animal items (regularly for members only) for everyone! First with the NM Sky High, and now raccoon things! I love this adorable plushie. Once I get time, I'll definitely buy one! Or two…

Rare Item Monday– Rare Anchor Ballcap

Hello jammers! Today is a monday, so you know what that means! I hate mondays.

...It also means Rare Item Monday!

   Today's rare item is sold in Bahari Bargains, Bahari Bay. I've been noticing a theme… all Rare Item Monday items are always a bright color. Bright lavender like this one, bright blue, bright orange, and clashing colors too. 
   Why not complementary colors? (Colors opposite on the color wheel) Why not yellow and purple? Why dark orange and dark blue? I know orange and blue are complementary colors, but the shades together don't work well…

Sorry about my long rambling. I paint a lot… 

I like this week's "rare item" though. It's pretty. :)
