Hey Jammers! Yesterday I spent all day working on an art project. It was partially inspired by Animal Jam, so I thought I'd share it:
I used earth paint on natural burlap. I was hoping to kind of recreate the Gecko Banner item, but of course it doesn't look exactly like it exactly. I'm fine with that.
One day you will be mine, o Gecko Banner....
Recently I learned what those ancient drawings on stone are called: petroglyphs! I tried to emulate the style of a petroglyph with the smaller dark lizard.
There are a lot of petroglyphs all over the Americas:
The different styles of petroglyphs are so diverse, meaningful, and imaginative. I could stare at them for hours.
In more Animal Jam related news, I discovered something cool yesterday. Remember when I made that post about how sad it is that no one plays Temple of Trivia anymore?
Well...
IT WAS FULL YESTERDAY!!!!!!! It was so fun. AJHQ also made a lot of the questions harder, so if you found that Temple of Trivia was too easy in the past, think again.
You know what was also full?
Half of all the servers.
You see, this is why I don't believe people when they say that AJ is dead. AJ isn't perfect, and it would be cool if we could have better updates soon, but as Tigerlypaws of the Jamaa Chronicle says, the lack of good updates these past months has been because AJHQ is busy preparing for a shift away from Flash.
For those who don't know, Flash has some security issues, so at some point in the next couple years, Animal Jam will start running on HTML5 or only be playable through the downloadable application.
I think the reason some people think that AJ is dead is because they don't play it as much, so they disconnect from it. But the fact is that it's far from a ghost town.
When I was online yesterday I was talking with a buddy and they were mysteriously logged out after saying this:
I hope you're okay, dashark XD
I'll be back at some point to continue the plushie naming series, but until then, see you in Jamaa! And if I don't post by Halloween, happy Halloween! ^-^

I love Jamaa + Naming Rare Plushies – Part 3
Hey Jammers! I originally wasn't planning on posting at all today because I had an annoying day, but I started reading some other AJ blogs and it cheered me up, so here I am. ^_^
We're back again with part 3 of Naming Rare Plushies, but first, some new information!
There's a closed beta testing of AJ Play Wild on PC through Steam!
Meaning, that AJ Play Wild may one day be playable on your laptop or desktop computer, as well as mobile devices.
There's more information in the Help section of the AJ homepage:
(Full article here)
So, unlike the beta test of the Play Wild app back in 2014-2015, AJHQ is unsure whether or not they're actually going to open computer Play Wild in the future. But like Play Wild, there is a closed beta test of it. If you click the link above, you can learn how to sign up to test it.
You know, I usually wouldn't post about something like this because I don't pay much attention to the Play Wild app. I prefer 2D over 3D– I think Play Wild is fun, but something about the 3D animation just doesn't sit right with me.
When I learned about this closed beta testing, I didn't really care at first, but then I began to get anxious. If both AJ and AJPW were on the computer... is there enough room for them both? Will AJPW completely replace the Animal Jam we've known and loved?
I've actually been thinking about that all day and it's made me kind of scared.
I'm not addicted to to Animal Jam, I'm typically too busy with school to play it regularly, but just knowing it exists helps me get through the week. It sounds weird, but I have a deep connection to Animal Jam. It really did inspire my love of the natural world, as cliché as that sounds, and its consistency is comforting when other things in my life are not as easy.
Right now, I'm just trying to trust that Animal Jam is a unique game, and they won't go 100% in the direction of, say, Club Penguin and entirely abandon their original product for an app. (Club Penguin Island shut down really quick, so it probably isn't even a good decision)
Anyway, let's stay positive. Remember that Clark Stacey (CEO of AJ) said that he wants Animal Jam to be around for his grandkids. I don't associate that kind of longevity with mobile apps.
Now onto the best part of the post: Naming Rare Plushies – Part 3!!!
These are my own ideas, but as always, my favorite part of this is hearing what you think these plushies should be named!
Let's start out with elephants:

These are my own ideas, but as always, my favorite part of this is hearing what you think these plushies should be named!
Let's start out with elephants:
Raz / Eric
Yet another member of the sunglasses plushie crew. I bet they're best friends with the sunglasses tiger plushie (who I named Neptune)
Fredward
I have no other ideas, he's just... Fredward...
Jasmine
For some reason I associate the color purple with the letter J, but somehow I don't think this name is very creative. Any other ideas?
Moving on, bunnies!
Pawpaw / Cherimoya
When I updated my plushie blog Berry the Koala, I named this bunny Cherimoya, but maybe the name of another odd green fruit might suffice. A pawpaw is the largest wild fruit native to North America.
Still, I think a different name might be better. Any ideas?
Jesse
Pretty sure about this one.
Fausto
Yup.
Let's do koalas now!
Lola
As I might have mentioned before, on AJ I used to know an orange koala with Lola in their username, so this is mostly just bias. What ideas do you have?
Manic / Kevin
Kevin is his real name. Manic is his alter-ego.
Paprika
A spice that sounds cute as a name <3
Before I go do some homework, let's name the crocodiles:
Prisma
Hmm. I think this name fits, but do any of you have any more creative ideas?
Avalon
I don't know many dragon names, but this one sounds ok.
Citrus McStabbyhands
It just fits, y'know?
Thanks for reading, guys! See you all in Jamaa~ :D

New Blog + Poll + Naming Rare Plushies – Part 2
Hey Jammers! Today I'm gonna continue the plushie naming posts, address the results of that poll I put to the side of the blog a few months ago, but first I wanna let you know about a cool new AJ blog!
Tigerlypaws, who was once an author for the most popular AJ blog of all time (Animal Jam Spirit, which had over a million views at one point), has started up their own blog a few days ago!
I already put a link in the blogroll, but it makes me so happy when cool people like Tig return to the blogging community after "founding" it, in a way. :)

Go to the Blogroll, or >CLICK HERE< to visit the wonderful new Jamaa Chronicle <3
In other news, here are the results of this past poll about Jammer Parties:
(Click to read it better)
As I had thought, the most votes were from people who are upset about the Play Wild Party and the Trading Party removed to make way for the Jammer Party replacements.
Of course, there are people who enjoy the Jammer Party feature– and that's valid.
So, AJHQ, if you're out there somewhere, consider this:
– The original Play Wild Party is our only connection to Club Geoz.
– Club Geoz is still used in toys and merchandise (example: those limited edition t-shirts)
– Club Geoz is important and we miss it a lot
Also...
– The Jammer Party version of the Trading Party is often very exclusive. If you want to trade for something that isn't super rare, everyone ignores you.
– The original Jammer Party was inclusive of all Jammers, not just those loaded with spikes
– We miss the look of the original Trading Party
Here are some ideas:
– Bring back the original Play Wild Party
– Bring back the original Trading Party
– No one will be upset that there are separate Jammer Party versions of both, because they're all so different
It's cool that Animal Jam is a dynamic and ever-changing game, but it's nice to have some consistency, too.
Overall though, I'm really appreciative that AJ hasn't pulled a Club Penguin and remodeled every single thing to the point that its an entirely different game.
It's nice that a lot of the new trends for kids games are tried out in the Play Wild app, leaving computer AJ alone, so we can have the best of both worlds. I think it's a great strategy. :)
With that out of the way, IT'S TIME TO NAME SOME MORE RARE PLUSHIES!!!!
Jamberry
I actually asked my art teacher what a good name for a pink horse with a strawberry on their head would be. Honestly, it's a hard question to answer in a unique way, so for now I'll go with Strawberry Jam!
(EDIT: Jamberry!!!)
(EDIT: Jamberry!!!)
Abraham
Self-explanatory.
Lancelot
Yup.
Now let's name some seals:
Pablo / Danny
It's hard to think of a good name for this one. I think they look like a Pablo, but I'm probably biased because this game I used to play had a green bird with a red cap who was named Pablo. As always, if you got any different name ideas, comment below!
Abracadabra
I really can't decide with this one. Are they a Darcy? Are they an Alex? Or are they something else? I personally think Darcy fits, but I don't know many names.
(EDIT: Abracadabra!)
(EDIT: Abracadabra!)
Cynthia
Now this is the only name that I'm at least 95% confident about. I look deep into this seal's eyes, and all I can see is the name Cynthia.
Why not some wolf plushies next?
Zack / Zeke
That lightning bolt looks like a Z, so of course I need to choose a name that starts with Z. I think Zack is fitting, but feel free to share any other interpretations!
Pauline / Zea
This is probably based on the people I've known named Pauline, so this is 100% bias. Tell me any other interpretations!
Sarah
Once again, 100% bias, but I do just naturally associate the name 'Sarah' with the color red. Any other ideas?
That was fun. I hope you know that I'm gonna keep this up until I've named every single rare plushie in Jamaa XD
See you guys in Jamaa, and have a happy Night of the Phantoms! ^-^

Naming Rare Plushies – Part 1
Hey Jammers! I'm back in typical DoomyPanda fashion: one day later than I said I would be (:
Yesterday I remembered at the last minute I had a test today, so the time I would have spent posting I spent studying. And I think I did pretty good on the test because of it! ^-^
Today's (or should I say tonight's) post will be kinda dumb and uninformative, but I've had this idea for a while so why not lol
I present to you....
NAMING ALL RARE PLUSHIES!!!!!!!!
(or at least as many as I can right now)
I got the idea from a couple updates ago when I named this rhino plushie:
I think it's a perfect name, because a rambutan is a spiky red fruit that happens to grow in the same habitat as a certain kind of rhino.
So here are some other names. Let's continue with the rest of the rare Rhino Plushies:

I think it's a perfect name, because a rambutan is a spiky red fruit that happens to grow in the same habitat as a certain kind of rhino.
So here are some other names. Let's continue with the rest of the rare Rhino Plushies:
Charlotte
This one just looks like a Charlotte. I can't explain why, but until someone comes up with a more fitting name, I am officially naming this purple rhino Charlotte.
Ophiuchus
That's the name that immediately pops into my head when I see this interesting rhino (It's the name of a constellation). Although I think their name should be shorter, but still start with O. (EDIT: Orion!)
Moving on to monkey plushies...
Jacquelynn / Jackie
Ever since I won this plushie in The Claw around 2012, they always looked like a Jacquelynn to me.
Magnus
Naming this monkey right on the spot, Magnus is all I can think of! Anyone have a better-fitting name?
Greco
I feel like some rare plushies are organized into groups. There are quite a few with those eerie green glasses...
The last three plushies I'll name tonight: tigers!
Neptune
Is that an 8 on his necklace? Or is a B? Jamaa may never know...
Tulle
Self-explanatory, but let me know if you have a better idea!
(EDIT: Julie! Thanks, Rainbow000Pegasus!)
(EDIT: Julie! Thanks, Rainbow000Pegasus!)
Himalaya
Originally, I saw this tiger and all I could associate with them was "Snow Leopard"– but that's not the most original name, is it? I guess I'll settle for the next best thing: Himalaya.
This was fun! Pointless, but very fun! I feel like restarting my plushie collection now :D
If you also liked this, more is to come! If you didn't like it, more is still to come no matter what! But also other things! XD
See you in Jamaa~

Random Things – Round 2
Hey Jammers! Wow, for a weekday this is an early post. Nevertheless, I still have to keep it short because I have a lot of homework.
Here's today's Inktober drawing:
I was feeling very Halloween-y this morning X)
Random fact: Even though Halloween is probably my favorite holiday, I don't even like most candy. Hmm...
Time for round 2 of "What screenshots are clogging up Doomy's desktop?"
I just noticed this year that both the Leaf Pile and the Rake and Leaf Pile are being sold, despite being almost exactly the same item. The Leaf Pile is older than the other item, and in past years the Rake And Leaf Pile was released in Jam Mart Furniture, so I just assumed the Rake And Leaf Pile had replaced the old one. Maybe the Leaf Pile has been coming out in Treetop Gardens all along!
Next up, here's a cool edit I found:
Wouldn't this be such a cute shop? ^-^
(I don't know who made this image. I take no credit at all for making it. If you made this image and you want me to credit you/take it down, comment please!)
Next, some cool Masterpieces that I found:
Nice B)
That's all for now, see you guys in Jamaa!
