Lucky Update 2016!

Hey Jammers! Even though March is here and Jamaa is full of clovers everywhere, it still snowed yesterday. Blah. Hopefully, that will be short lived and Spring will soon arrive in the Northern Hemisphere!

Yesterday was the biweekly update that brought a ton of new things. Without any further ado, here's the Jamaa Journal!

Otters are back! I never noticed they were gone, really. There are way too many animals to keep track of nowadays! However, is that really such a bad thing? ;D

Along with an older animal coming back, we've also got a new pet today! And along with the lovely pet skunk, there's also a brand new gigantic den! For diamonds only, of course. Here are some screenshots:

It's so beautiful, I wish it were for nonmembers! I also forgot to include that it has a rainbow slide. :D

With the return of March comes the return of Lucky Clovers, the seasonal adventure. There have been quite a few changes to this new adventure, and I'll be making a full post on it soon!

I hope that spiked collars and wristbands will finally stop being so obsessed over now that they're out again, but that's what I thought last year and they still are. :\

Stay tuned for a post all about Lucky Clovers 2016, including prizes!

I feel like I'm the only one who regularly goes to the Conservation Museum. C'mon! Pretty music, cute hats, and lots of fun facts about beautiful creatures! What's not to love? I hope you'll go check this new exhibit!

March 14th is Pi Day! The first few digits of pi are 3.14, get it? Last year was a particularly special Pi Day, as the next couple digits are 15. March 14, 2015 and 3.1415!

Regardless of the year, some new cool items are gonna be coming on the 14th!

I wish pandas would have come before horses, but I have no idea the order in which all the animals will be released. Still, welcome to Play Wild, digital horse!

Finally, with all the new additions that this update brought, rhinos will be temporarily going traveling. It's a shame that rhinos aren't as popular anymore, they're so wonderful! I wish they were nonmember. Additionally, many rhinos are critically endangered and on the actual cusp of extinction. To put this in perspective, there is literally only one male white rhino left in the wild. ONE. It's awful and so sad, you can't even fathom what it's like to be the last of your kind.

The new update has also brought a few more subtle changes. For example, a lot of the borders on things have been darkened:

Additionally, some new Spring-y loading screens are here!

And oh, who could forget how beautiful Jamaa Township looks now?

I'm so happy. I can't wait until it really looks like this outside my window.

...Minus the giant clovers, of course, but wouldn't that be so cool?

That's all for now, Jammers. See you in Jamaa! :D

Big Post Coming Tomorrow!

Hey Jammers! It feels like I always fall into this loop of posting a lot over the weekend, swearing that I'll stay on track during the week, and then getting so wrapped up in school that I completely neglect to do so. Sadly, the truth is that I really put a good amount of sleep before anything else, then next is school, and then next is this blog.

I try really hard to balance out the stuff I want to do (i.e. AJ Stream) with the tedious amount of repetitive assignments I get from teachers who think in a quantity-over-quality way and still end up with 8 hours of sleep. It causes me to occasionally cut some of the fun stuff out during the week.

I feel like I give this speech every week here, but I just wanna let y'all know: I love this blog, I'm so happy you read it, but I'm not much of a night owl on weekdays. I try my absolute best to update every day I can, but... I need some sleep.

Anyways, this week's update is a really great one! Everything's all covered in clovers. However, I need to study so I'll get back to ya tomorrow, okay?

Peace out!!! I hope you don't have as much homework as I have...

Return of the Leap Year Party

Hey Jammers! As promised, I have updated Berry the Koala with a prompt given to me by lostfairy. Thank you for commenting your ideas! The prompt given was for Berry and friends to explore the unknown top left corner of the World Map.

I've started out with a part 1, which is kind of an introduction because I didn't have enough time to write the whole prompt out. I'm going to finish the story prompt with a part 2 when I get the time, but don't hesitate to comment your story ideas anywhere! :D

GASP! A sneak-peek from Part 2!

In other news, tomorrow is Leap Day, and after Leap Day is March, and hopefully sometime during March will be Spring for the Northern Hemisphere. To celebrate all of these things, Animal Jam has released more Lucky Day items as well as welcomed the Leap Year Party back into Jamaa!

I'm loving that little frog with the sick shades. He knows was up

The Leap Year Party is hands down, my favorite party of all. As soon as 12 o'clock hits and the Leap Year Party is on once again I'll be there and share screenshots with you.

And now... we wait.

...

*checks watch*

Looks about time!

Frogs everywhere! Sensory overload! AAAAAA!!!

I must say, the Leap Year Party has changed considerably. Almost every item is replaced with something new!

The mug I'm drinking my mint tea from looks exactly like that frog.

It's understandable, I guess, to change every four years. And we can always see Leap Year 2012 by looking up screenshots on Google Images. So it looks like there's no harm done by switching things up a bit.

Here are the items:

All of the den items seem to be going along the theme of frogs (get it? Leap year? BWHAAAAHAHAHHHJdsvba) and the clothing items are really just recolored and partially retextured. Before anyone gets mad that there aren't any ~real~ rare items being sold, you have to know that this is what they did for Leap Year 2012. Admittedly, the items were a little cooler looking, but these too will be at least semi-rare one day because they AIN'T COMING BACK.

Here's an example with a past Leap Year item, the Rare Purple Worn Blanket. They're not in very high demand, but if you just focus on availability, they're actually rarer than regular worns. Regular worns can be acquired through adventures like the Forgotten Desert, whereas purple ones can't!

Not a lot of people will agree with you if you bring that up while trading, because "rarity" constitutes as a combo of DEMAND and DATE. Just think about how quickly Straw Hats got snatched up merely a couple days after they went and then now people are equating them to "betas" when trading.

That's why I don't talk about rarity that much, because it fluctuates so much! At the end of the day, the only one who gets to decide whats rare or not is the person you're trading. I walked into Aldan one day and there was a whole legion of people who thought that "beta item" was synonymous with "not in stores". Needless to say, it was difficult to trade.

Anyway, back to the Leap Year Party!

While at the Leap Year Party, I met someone who's birthday was on Leap Day, so they're "technically" just four years old.

And remember when I was amazed at the Queen Frog? Well, that was before I had gone down the slide...

I love how many frogs are at this party. This is froggy paradise!

Like in 2012, there's also a special Claw. Instead of costing 5 gems, you have to give up 25 for each turn! However, the only things I've gotten are a pink wreath and an orange top hat. But you never know...

Before I go, to spread positivity, here's a list of all the things I love about this party:

• FROGS, FROGS, FROGS!

• The slide made of giant banana leaves

• The Sarepia Forest music in the background

• How peaceful and mysterious it is

• The treehouse

• The color scheme

• The dark forest

• Basically everything

• This is where I'll be spending my afternoons from now on until the end of the party

That's all for now, Jammers! See you at the Leap Year Party~

Happy Polar Bear Day!

Hey Jammers! Happy official Polar Bear Day! Here's some cool news: WildWorks has partnered with Polar Bears International and if enough Jammers donate, WildWorks will donate $10,000 directly towards the conservation of polar bears and their habitat!

(Click to read)

According to the article, all we need to do is donate gems in the Conservation Museum right here:

Just click the regular donation container. Once February and March pass, I'm pretty sure the Big Cats Donations will be back again. Until then, donate so WildWorks will give $10,000 to protecting polar bears!

From today onwards, I'm planning to donate 5,000 gems every day. How much can you donate? Let's have a little contest: Comment how much you've donated by the end of March and I'll send you a Jam-a-Gram saying something nice about you. C(o.o)D

Alright, back to the daily news. In preparation for Lucky Day, quite a few clover-patterned items are for sale in the Township's sister shops:

I love the Lucky Tea Set. I'm so happy it's nonmember! AJHQ better not trick us and turn it Member's Only by the end of the month. Let all Jammers have tea items for once!

Random Fact No One Asked For: I drink a lot of tea. My favorite is sweet mint tea. :D

Now, back to Polar Bear Day! Over on the Daily Explorer is a printable polar bear hollow face, which I'm assuming is a 3D figure you cut and arrange out of paper.

That's all for now, Jammers! Look forward to a new Berry the Koala post, and I'll see you in Jamaa!

Another Annoying Notice

I've been really busy this week, so I won't be able to post until Friday– which conveniently, is tomorrow! I should have told you guys sooner, but I got wrapped up in school things and after school things and... you get the point.

Tomorrow, however, I'll do my best to thoroughly update this blog as well as write up one of the prompts given to me for Berry the Koala!

See you in Jamaa~
