Secret Room in the Phantom Fortress

Hey Jammers! Yesterday was the update, as you probably remember, and a lot of exciting things came our way. The return of the Arctic Fox, the return of the Heatwave Party (my all-time favorite party that I have missed so dearly), a new pet, and a new adventure that ties up the bottle message saga! 

From the adventure, you learn that the new animal is, as everybody (but me) guessed, a sheep. They look just like this:

Yep, it's normal for sheep to have a long tail, claws, and a perpetual death-glare. Totally normal.

Ha... I just got the joke. "Wolf in sheep's clothing." Ha... Ha... 

Poor Greely.

I will talk in more depth about the whole adventure later, but right now I'd like to zoom into something not many people noticed, but will surely be glad to know about soon.

Yep. I'm talking about that one weird door.

Thanks to my little brother for letting me use his account for this adventure. He rocks!

Clearly something's amiss. That lever is covered in blue paint, showing some kind of significance, but when you connect the circuit all you get is 50 gems and a door you can't walk through. What gives?

What I love about this secret is that there are no direct hints. The Jamaa Journal doesn't tell you, the Alphas don't tell you, the villagers don't tell you... you just have to connect the dots on your own.

What's the biggest clue? The blue paint. If isn't phantom slime, then it probably has some connection with Peck. Or not. But for right now, that isn't an immediate part of the puzzle.

Instead, think back to another time when you saw blue paint in the Phantom Fortress...

Right here, on the 1st or 2nd leg of the fortress! It's the exact same shade of blue paint, so this inscription and the seemingly useless lever are connected.

This inscription is not indecipherable, however. It's a drawing of the circuit needed to open the secret door! It might help to open this screenshot up and keep it to the side while you're playing so you can remember.

*If you can't immediately tell by the picture, the lined box at the top is the power source, that rectangle with the stick is the lever (facing up), and the little lines correspond to the ones in the real circuit.*

Despite not connecting the power source to the lever, completing the inscribed pattern will unlock the door to... the secret room.

The treasure box within contains a special item:

But most important of all, you will find messages that went unsent to the shores of Crystal Sands. Perhaps they were withheld because they contain too much information...

Now we know for sure that A., Peck is either trapped in the Phantom Fortress or is infiltrating it, and B., the phantoms are planning to land in Jamaa Township!!!

The phantoms are coming to the Township!!!

I'M BACK! + UPDATES

    HI! It's been way too long. I have been wanting to post for so long, and I missed this blog so much! There had been many obstacles in my way such as family matter, school etc. But the main thing would probably be that AJ was being really rude to me! Every time I would get on to Animal Jam, I would get logged off right then or like five minutes after. I'm glad that stopped though. School starts next week for me and I'm just not ready yet. I wish you all the best with the rest of the school year because it's almost finished if you think about it! Any who, let's get on with the latest updates.

I would've thought these would be at the Mt. Shiveer store but I guess not!

These are the gingerbread themed items as you can tell, so go to the Diamond Shop to purchase these if you're interested!

2017 Resolutions

Hey Jammers, tomorrow is the first day of the new year. You know, sometimes I think people get a little too crazy about new year's celebrations. For me it's just an extra number to add when I write the date on school assignments. XD

Some people are really, really happy that 2016 is close to over. A lot of *cough* things happened this year that were very jarring. Still, I don't think just having an extra year number will change much of what people are eager to leave behind. Real concrete change needs to happen on a personal level and on a widespread level if you really want to make lasting positive change in your world.

And big change starts with small change. Widespread change starts with individual change.

So, corny or not, here are just a few very general resolutions for 2017, for me and for you:

1. Stop staring at your phone or computer and go outside for once. Nothing's gonna change if you keep to the same distracted habits and give social media too much power over your life.

2. Be kind to the Earth because the environment affects all corners of your life, no matter how many plastic bubbles you put yourself in. Think about how the word "human" is derived from the word humus, which means dirt. You are a part of this world and it is your job to respect it and protect it for all our sakes.

3. Be as understanding as you can of different experiences and points of view. It's okay to have friends who are different from you.

Because today is the last day of the Jamaaliday calendar, here it is in full with all of this month's prizes:

The Mysterious Alpha?

Hey Jammers! Some wacky and mysterious news today for y'all. It's a suspenseful new message that has just washed up on the beaches of Crystal Sands:

Who the heck is it???!?!?!

Well, the shadow in the portrait looks oddly humanoid, though it's unlikely that it actually will be a human character. 

Hmm... could this character be... the goat alpha? I wonder if you've noticed that every other animal has a corresponding alpha besides the goat. Perhaps this is the goat alpha's belated introduction?

The most likely writer of the messages is the band of goats that went traveling, as I've discussed before. In a previous message, they said that this new prisoner looked a little like them. That's why I'm drawing the goat alpha conclusion.

However, something about that shadow reminds me of Harper, the seal alpha:

I think both options are fairly likely.

In other news, I think the update is today! In around 10 minutes, to be exact. I wonder why AJHQ hasn't uploaded an update preview to their Instagram account yet. Hmm.

Maybe we'll find out why...

EDIT: No update today, according to AJHQ's official Instagram. 

It makes some sense because I think they'll want to wait until January 1st to start the New Year Party.
