Greely's Inferno – *Spoilers*

Hey animals! Sorry that I haven't been keeping the once-a-week posting schedule up like I promised, I found a couple of new games and my attention was sucked into them for a bit.

Jamaa is getting ready for the new year with this Thursday update: Bursting with new items, dens, and of course, a brand new adventure!

Click any of the journal pages to get a closer look.

The daily gift today is 1 diamond. Buy your favorite item at the Diamond Shop, located in Jamaa Township!

Some brand new items are in the Jamaaliday Jam shop and Treetop Gardens, like Jamaaliday-themed phantom plushies and fox topiary! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they both turn out to be nonmember. :)

CAUTION: GREELY'S INFERNO SPOILERS!

I spent 30 or so minutes this morning playing Greely's Inferno. It's definitely more difficult than the other adventures, with falling phantoms everywhere and clusters of phantoms attacking you. It's not as calm as the other adventures, I can say that for sure! But if you try hard and strategize, you'll win for sure.

The plot goes as follows: You climb up the volcano and enter, avoiding and blowing up phantoms, falling or on the ground. There is no grass, so the only way to get rid of a phantom chasing you is by using boom seeds to blow them up. You use corks to plug pipes pouring downward that are blocking your way to the alpha stones. After you've put all the stones into the hollows on the ground, the gate to the phantom king, which you will have to face.

TIP: After the phantom king slams, he's out cold for a few seconds on the ground. While he's vulnerable, use three boom seeds on him. He'll wake up after the first one, but you have to keep trying. Also, try to blow up all of the phantoms with boom seeds before going for the king. You'll keep lives that way. And FYI, you have unlimited boom seeds scattered around his lair.

After you defeat the phantom king, it's not over yet. Greely appears once more, telling you that he has underestimated you and that he will hold off the eruption of the volcano enough for you to escape. He tells you not to worry about him. Then, you avoid the phantoms falling and attacking you going down the side of the volcano. You then reach a cave exit, and you are transported to the snowy area from when you started. The volcano erupts, but then it solidifies and shatters.

Cosmo and Liza are next to the end portal, but not Greely. Cosmo explains that it isn't sure whether Greely will come out or not. You're given a choice of 5 prizes. I chose the second one (Greely's Wardrobe) pictured above.

Good luck,
and happy adventuring!

Happy Jamaalidays!

Hey animals!

A LOT of new things this update.

Lets start with the latest Jamaa Journal, issue 106.

I was kind of hoping the deer would be nonmember, but it's alright that they aren't. There's a lot more to this update than deer!

I hope Greely's Inferno turns out to be NM, though.

And in case any of you are wondering, the Jamaaliday gift today is 1 Diamond! I spent my diamond on a fireplace in the diamond shop. Are you keeping or spending yours? :)

Thursday marked the first official day of the Jamaalidays. You know what that means?

New Jamaaliday Jam a Grams!

AJ is strangely not loading very well right now, so log on to check 'em out!

Update Summary

• The deer are out, sadly members only.
• A big adventure is coming to Jamaa!
• Deer are now being celebrated in the conservation museum.
• Old Jamaaliday gifts are being sold in the diamond shop.
• Pet reindeer are back!
• Ice armor!

Thats all for now,
have a great day!

Lots of Changes

Hey animals, I'm back!

I've decided that from this point on I will post once or more (if I can) a week on no particular days.

Recently, the feast of thanks has passed, but the Jamaaliday season has only begun! I threw a small feast of thanks party in my den, too. Thanks to all who came!

Sorry that I didn't post about it. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment event.

There have been quite a few new things that might have gotten overlooked because of all the fuss over the jamaalidays.

You all remember the odd map change, right? Well, it caused a whole lot of negative response and since then, the map changed back!

I almost didn't even notice it!

Secondly, the music in Kimbara Outback has changed as well.
I don't know what was wrong with the original music, but they have switched it to the game music for Overflow!
Is it for better or for worse?

Also, as clarified by animal jam user 113457, the hamster with bat wings wasn't a glitch! Click the image below to read more, or go to the comment section on my last post.

And of course, since today is December 1, it's time for the Jamaalidays to start!

For the newcomers to AJ, the Jamaalidays is a period from December 1st to the 25th where you can log on every day to get a special gift from AJHQ! The gifts are always nonmember.

Today's gift is a Jamaaliday mat.

Last, but not least, AJHQ has released a new Jamaaliday-themed desktop wallpaper.

:)

Thats all for now,
have a great day!

Play-as-your-pet Party Tour

Hey animals! Recently (just yesterday) a new, tiny and exciting party has been added to the party list:

The Play-As-Your-Pet Party!

You start off near a mushroom waterfall. To the left of your pet is an area where there is a pet stop and pet wash. Sadly members only, but the shop to the right is full of tiny pet-sized items for everyone!

(only 16 gems? o.o)

A default pink (not the default brown!) couch, a sturdy table for pets to talk with friends at, and a pet door and pet chair!
(Lots of the word "pet" huh?)

Go up the cardboard stairs to the top of the tiny castle to find...

...The place where the party's music is sold, and a breath taking view.

Grass everywhere!

Look for the ladder near the pet wash. Climb up for a bird's eye view of the party from atop a flower!

And just in the short time I've spent there, I've already found a sort of glitch...

I thought nonmembers couldn't use the pet stop...

That's all for now,
see you at the party! :)

Rare Item Monday – Rare Old Hood

Hey animals! I've found a bit of time to post, and this week's RIM is especially cool. Mostly because it's for everyone!

This is sold on the very last page of Jam Mart Clothing.
Pick one up today! :)

The post on the Daily Explorer features a panda wearing the rare hood, but in this picture it's not as rare...

I wonder what went wrong?

That's all for now,

see you in December!

Break

Hey animals!

This is just a quick notice that I need to take a break from AJ blogging for a bit, preferably until December, but I may come back sooner.

I need to catch up on school things.

I may still be on AJ!

Have a great day,

Kimbara Outback – Journey Book Hints

Hey animals! I know it's a bit late for this, but since I haven't posted Journey Book hints for some time now, I thought I might post some hints on the newest book: Kimbara Outback.

HINT: Take note of the bolded words.
  1. Cassowary: Cassowaries can be spotted in grasslands and savannas.
  2. Galah: Galahs are birds of flight, but still have to rest after flying for so long.
  3. Sugar Glider: Sugar gliders are mammals that, as their name says, can glide, and leap from places to places that are far apart. Much like a flying squirrel.
  4. Tiger snake: Like most snakes, tiger snakes keep close to the ground and while venomous, need to hide (behind things) from predators as well.
  5. Trapdoor spider: Trapdoor spiders build webs over holes in the ground to catch prey.
  6. Kookaburra: This type of bird is known for the unique sound it makes, which sounds like it's saying "KOOKABURRA!". In animal jam, it is very elusive and is found on top of only one hut in Jamaa.
  7. Platypus: Platypuses are one of the two mammals that lay eggs. Yes, one of TWO mammals! The other being the Echidna. The platypus is native to Australia, and while awkward on land, has flippers allowing it to swim skillfully.
  8. Echidna: The echidna, also known as the spiny anteater, catches ants and termites with it's long nose from insect mounds.
  9. Blue penguin: Blue penguins are, as the name says, blue penguins. They are one of the smallest penguins in the world, reaching only 12 inches tall! They can be found in temperate climates of Australia, but still like to take a dip in water from time to time.
  10. Lyrebird: Lyrebirds are mainly known for their ability to mimic other animals. They can be found in the trees of Kimbara Outback.
  11. Frilled Lizard: Frilled lizards can run upright on their hind legs. Kimbara Outback is rather hot, so they like to stay in the shade.
I hope this helps you! :) If your friends are stuck too, you can tell them about this.

Have a great day!

Cosmo for Everyone!

Hey animals! This thursday update brought a lot of new and exciting things, but mainly what this update is all about is Meet Cosmo is available for everyone!

(AJ is thankful for ALL JAMMERS!)

Finally! I've been waiting to play this forever! :)
I'm thankful that AJHQ made this playable for me. ^_^
What are you thankful for?

A new animal so soon? I wonder what it could be...

This (almost finished) puzzle looks like it's natural habitat is in Mt. Shiveer, and judging by it's shape, it looks like the new animal could be a caribou. What do you think it is?

And the other pages of the journal:

A mobile animal jam game? Jump? Clouds in the background? Could there now be a mobile sky high?

The feast of thanks approaches, soon after the end of the Night of the Phantoms. I miss it already!
It seems with every month comes a new AJ celebration, and November will undoubtedly bring new feast of thanks items and activities this year. Maybe even a new party!

That's all for now,
see you in Jamaa! :)

The "Savvy Jammer" Series

Hey animals! I don't know what the new item is today yet, but there is a new post on the Daily Explorer!

Introducing the new "Savvy Jammer" series: a column of posts based around busting rumored "easter eggs" (see article) and answering popular questions about Jamaa's mysteries. This is going to be interesting. What do you think about this?

In my personal news, after a long hiatus I logged onto Animal Jam again and met up with my friends catlover25 and pielover4ever.

I can't believe I haven't seen them for months!

If you want to be friends, add me on AJ! My username is Quintanna, not DoomyPanda anymore. Again, I switched accounts a few months ago and I don't check the mailbox on DoomyPanda anymore.

Sorry for the short post,
have a great day! :)

November Birthstone: Topaz

Hey jammers! Once again, I'm seriously sorry I haven't been posting a lot/at all. I know I've missed quite a bit on AJ, and I'm beginning to suspect that no one looks at this block much anymore, so I will try my hardest to continue posting.

October has gone, and soon will all of the Night of the Phantoms items to welcome November.
Introducing, the November birthstone! :)

My birthstone! :)

As every month, this is sold in Epic Wonders in the den item orb.

Most of the time, the reason I don't post is because of a lack of motivation, so how about this: for every comment I get (not spam please!), I will make a post.

Thats all for now,
have a great day!

Jamaa Journal #102

Hey animals! After a long wait, the update is finally here again!

Although, not much new this time.

Except...

A NEW ADVENTURE! :)

The rest goes as follows:

And finally, you can now go from place to place in Jamaa and collect candy!

(candy bowl in Coral Canyons.)

I'm sorry that the posting continues to be uninteresting and infrequent. The truth is I don't have a lot of time for blogging anymore, so it's hard to make time for it.

Again, as a reminder, I can only post on the weekends and on monday or thursday for the RIM or the biweekly update.

Feel free to leave comments, questions, or send a friend request on AJ! :)

Bat Winged Glasses

Hey animals! I'm finally back, and ready to get to spending hours with a steady wifi connection again. Yay! :)

The new item of today is sold in Jam Mart Clothing.

As with some other Night of the Phantoms things that I missed, there has been some sort of odd pattern with the pumpkins being sold in the Mystery Emporium.

There have been a lot of other new items through the days I've missed, and many of them returning. If you want to find out about the new Jammer Snaps contest and whatnot, check out the Daily Explorer.

Before I sign off, I just need to address a small confusion that some of my AJ friends have told me about. Some of you think that Quintanna and DoomyPanda and Countess Rainyflower are different people (co-authors) but really I've been the only one working on my blog the entire time. I just moved some of my items from the account called DoomyPanda to Quintanna and now I mainly use Quintanna.
Sorry if I confused you. ^^;

That's all for now, see you in Jamaa!

Vacation...

Hey animals!

This is just a notice that I will be on vacation for a while and won't be able to post. I'm really sorry if this causes you any grief. :(

I will be back and posting ASAP!

R.I.M. 10/7/10

Hey animals! The Rare Item Monday of the week is surely one you will all be at least somewhat excited about!

I've only just recently heard about their (and freedom wings!) commonness in the adventures. Well, now these are completely available for everyone and after a few years of high rarity, finally have they fallen to the common items.

Grab a pair while you're at Jam Mart Clothing! :)

As always, I'm sorry for my recent lack of posting here. Because of after school activities and homework, I will have to once again post only on the weekends. Or updates or mondays.

Well, that's it for now.
Have a spooky night of the phantoms!

World Animal Day 2013

Hey animals! There are a few new items today, however AJ stopped loading for me after I took the first screenshot. Sorry! :(

At least I got one item down, and that item is sold in Jam Mart Furniture.

"World Animal Day is celebrated each year on October the 4th. It started in Florence, Italy in 1931 at a convention of ecologists. On this day, animal life in all its forms is celebrated, and special events are planned in locations all over the globe."–Wikipedia entry on World Animal Day
You can celebrate World Animal Day by paying extra attention to a (real) pet, being good to nature, buying this World Animal Day Banner, or anything else that comes to mind that helps an animal or plant! :)

Meanwhile, some new autumnal art has been posted on the Daily Explorer:

What do you like most about fall? Comment!

Sorry for the infrequent posts on here, I'll try to catch up over the weekend.

That's all for now,
have a happy world animal day! :)

Lots of New Items!

Hey animals! Some Day of the Phantoms clothing items and den decorations are coming out more than one a day.

Since it's some time before the next Day of the Phantoms party, I only have pictures of the items in Jam Mart Clothing and Jam Mart Furniture.

The Spooky Parties and Haunted Forest parties are becoming a lot more frequent, thankfully, but hopefully candy becomes even more so!

That's all for now, see you in Jamaa!

Rare Item Monday 9/30/13

Hey jammers! Today is monday, and if you're in America, you're probably not very excited to go back to school again.

Luckily however, today is also Rare Item Monday!
And even luckier,
the R.I.M. is for everyone!

Sold in Jam Mart Furniture, this is the first rare den item in a while. Do you like it?

In other news, I haven't been seeing either the Spooky Party or the Haunted Forest Party on the party tab at all! I'm getting curious as to if this is just coincidence, or that this is a widespread problem. Maybe the Day of the Phantoms hasn't even started yet?

I will make a poll for you to answer.

Starting
right
now!

That's all for now,
have a moderate monday!

Fun on AJ

Hello jammers! Sadly, there is something wrong with my computer and I am unable successfully to log on to Animal Jam. :(

In better news, I met coolsalmon yesterday!

(Left to right: coolsalmon, me, Zuchinnii)

I've been alone for a lot of times I've been online (because no one's online when I am) and while I like being alone, coolsalmon going to my den was something nice. :)

More importantly, there is a new post on the D.E. that you should all take note of:

Photography? Sounds interesting. I have a whole load of flower photos from yesterday, so this will definitely be something I'll do.

Thats all for now,
see you in Jamaa!
