Moon Hat

Happy friday, jammers! The new item of the day is sold in the Summer Carnival.

I like this item a whole lot better than the sun hat, no offense intended to those who preferred it. I like how this moon hat looks a little quirky and oddball. Also, if you didn't notice the absence of a Members Only tag, this hat is nonmember!
I'm definitely getting this item today. :)

That's all of the new things for today, I assume.

Thanks for reading, see you in Jamaa! :)

Diamonds, diamonds, everywhere!

Hey jammers! Today there has been a surprise mini update announcing a very cool new shop! This shop, however, isn't like any other Jamaa shop. It's the Diamond Shop; where you can buy really cool animals and items with a new special currency called diamonds

From what I'm seeing, with diamonds you can buy items in the Diamond Shop that would usually be rare. As it says, "Every Jammer can win diamonds in the Daily Gem Bonus Spin!" that implies that nonmembers can get diamonds, too. Good news, nonmembers! :)

For more information, click this link to the Daily Explorer.

What are you waiting for? Head over to the Diamond Shop today!
Wait.
I know what you're waiting for.
The Diamond Shop is full.
Um...
Sorry.

That's all for now. Happy shopping!

Break The Bridge!

Hey jammers! Sorry for not posting yesterday. My morning was rather hectic, and I slacked off a bit after school, but I'm back now.

Yesterday's item was sold in the Summer Carnival den shop. I believe it was a sort of pet roller coaster.

Sorry nonmembers, you can't buy this item! :(

But I won't say the same for today's item...

This cutesy hat is sold in the Summer Carnival clothing shop, as you can see from the blocked out ticket symbols which I clumsily missed when taking the picture. Luckily, AJHQ made this one for everyone! :)
I wouldn't say that this is my cup of tea, but it's something good to have in your inventory when you're in one of those fun fashion show things.

In other news for today, AJHQ published another short explanatory article on the D.E.

To me this implies that the bridges may or may not be breakable, which means that it's possible, or that AJHQ just wants to let a hint out about a future update. The last one is pretty likely.

Will you try to break the bridge?

Rare Angel Wings + Beta Days

Hey jammers! Today is monday, and you know what that means? It's time for school again. Well, for most of y'all. I don't mean to rub it in, but I have a day off today! :)
Monday on Animal Jam also means that there is a rare item hidden in one of the shops for you to find and collect.

This time around, it's sold in Jam Mart Clothing...

This is a cool item if dark purple is your thing. I know a lot of people who for them dark purple is their thing, so chances are it's probably your thing as well. Apologies if dark purple isn't your thing.

I said "thing" in the same context four times. Haha.
I'm so easily amused.

Next, there is a new (and cool) article on the Daily Explorer!

You can click the above image to enlarge it.
This is short, but really explains beta testing with rather helpful detail.

I think it's fun watching Jamaa grow through the many months I've been here. Despite that most of my friends who used to play it have moved on to other games, I've found new ones on AJ that have lasted to this day.
Although Animal Jam was fun when it was just a simple game of friends and nature, that was the past. Remember there are always ways to have that much fun in the present. :)

What's your opinion?

Please take some time to comment, if you can. You– yes, you!– are who keeps this blog running. :)

That's all for now. Happy exploring!

Football Jersey + Plushie Codes

Hey jammers! Today there is a new item, and some word about the recent Sidekix plushies. First, I'll get to the item.

This is perfect if you like sports. I'm pretty terrible at all sports, except for badminton and basketball, so I think I'll pass on buying this. What sports do you like?

AJHQ has posted on Facebook about something new with the sidekix plush!

Apparently, a few rare sidekix plush come with a special bonus code to get you a week of AJ membership, 1,000 gems, and ALL five digital sidekix.
Cool, right?

In other news, AJHQ also made another post, this time on the DE, about a sneak peek of the new Geoz renovations.

Take a closer look at the blueprints. Click the image to enlarge it or zoom in.
What do you see? From what I see, it seems that it will possibly look dome-shaped, instead of in these little huts. The inside can also be circular as well, maybe with a few lounge chair thingies and whatnot.

What do you think? :)

That's all for now, see you in Jamaa!

Nonmember Clothing Ideas: Summer Edition

Hey jammers! Since I can't seem to find today's new item, I made another one of those Clothing Idea posts that you all just love. :)

With upcoming summer vacation for the majority of my viewers (The U.S.A.), and summer parading into Jamaa as well, I've decided to post the sunniest of the AJ trends and trends to-be.

All of these are easily obtainable. None fall into the category of scary bat-wing rare. All of these can either be won in Sky High, or can be bought in Jam Mart Clothing. :)

First up, I call this one the "Aqua Marine." Corny name, I know. Prepare for a whole lot more as you scroll down.

Items: Light green bat-winged glasses, and a green heart locket.
Availability: Very easy to get. In trades, or in Sky High.

The next is for pandas. If you've read my "Newbie's Guide to the Summer Carnival" post, you've seen it already. This is the "Morning Glory."

Items: Uncolored head flower, and a yellow lollipop necklace.
Availability: Very easy to get. You can buy the flower in Jam Mart Clothing for very little gems, and the lollipop can be won in Sky High or traded for.

This one is for wolves, proudly entitled "Idk what a good name would be for this."

Items: Blue lollipop necklace, and a blue tipped head feather.
Availability: Fairly easy to obtain. Both items are commonly given prizes in sky high, and are very common.

This next one is for pandas. I call this one the "Splatter Paint Panda."

Items: Aqua and grey colored clarinet, yellow lolly necklace, and orange round glasses.
Availability: Pretty easy, but a little difficult in some ways. You can get the clarinet in the Jam Session, but jammers might not easily give up their colored one. It's a bit of the same with the glasses, but not so much with the necklace.

Last but certainly not least, the "Crystal Sands Seal."

Items: Nothing more than a head flower. :)
Availability: Very easy. You can just pop into Jam Mart Clothing and buy it.

Which one was your favorite? What should my next theme be? Do you like kittens? Comment below! ;)

Update May 23

Hey jammers! I'm back for the weekend, and maybe even the entirety of next week, depending on my schedule. There has been a new update this week, bursting to the brim with new things!

This definitely sounds like fun. Here's a preview of what it looks like:

Next up, there are some new polls around Jamaa! Calls of the Wild are back! :)

I think they reintroduced this even with the (?) buttons to get feedback, but in clearer statistics instead of a mess of different opinions and ideas. It doesn't get as specific as the buttons, but at least they didn't entirely replace them with polls. It's still a cool new feature, though. :)

And since May 23rd has already past, elephants, rhinos, and giraffes have "migrated" for the summer.

Oh well. At least the koalas are bound to be back soon. Speaking of which, no word has been sent out of the koalas on their little discovery.

Also, there's a new "Name the Sidekix" contest! You can look for details on the Daily Explorer, but here is a picture to give you an idea of it.

If it were up to me, I'd call the wolf Zev. It's an actual name meaning "wolf." It doesn't fit much with the theme, but it's an idea, am I right? Who thinks Zev is a good name? Anyone?

There is also a brand new contest!

Draw a summer-themed Jam a Gram and there's a chance that you'll be able to send it to your friends this Jamaa summer! I know what I'm going to do this weekend instead of studying.

And now for the section of the update which I'm not exactly neutral about. Club Geoz is being renovated.

The reason I'm not particularly happy about this is because, chances are, AJHQ will turn it into some new and bright rave thing. They probably saw that rarely anyone goes there and hypothesized that it's because of the dark colors and the somewhat dreariness that may not appeal to 8 to 12 year old eyes.
I like the sort of retro-vibe that Geoz has now. I came and stayed on Animal Jam for the first time because I liked that it wasn't as flashy as other digital games I tried before. AJHQ should remember that before all of the bright human-inspired items, and all of the loud parties, Animal Jam was just a fun and nature-based game about animals.
Despite all of this, I can't be sure if they will change Geoz to the type of room I'm imagining. They may just change the positioning of the stuff in it, just like after beta testing. Who knows?

That's all for now. See you in Jamaa! :)

Sorry... Again...

Hi jammers, I'm really sorry my posts were delayed for this long. I swear that this time I wasn't just being lazy, I really had things to do. Sadly, you'll have to expect that this will happen again throughout the remainder of my school year. (Up to June 21st.) Anyway, the new item is in Jam Mart Furniture today.

A not-too-old rereleased item, just in time for the start of summer. Maybe not for me, but I know that summer has probably started for some of you.

Yesterday, the R.I.M. was a rare blue beret. For members only, yes, but very cool. I don't have a picture with me because it was as on all mondays, sold for one day.

That's all for now, Jammers. You should see a more interesting post tomorrow!

Leis Have Returned!

Hey jammers! As promised, I've decided to post today. I am currently on a phone, so this post will not have a picture. Sorry. :(

To get into a summer spirit, AJHQ has rereleased a nonmember favorite back into Jam Mart Clothing. This item is a lei, still sold for the same price in the same store. You can go over to Jamaa Township to check it out. :)

Yesterday, the new item was a violin, sold where else but the Jam Session. It is sadly only for members, but cool nonetheless.

That's all for now. Have a great Saturday!

Strange Hints on the Daily Explorer

Hey jammers! Today I'll only give a brief summary of the new item as I have other things to tell you.

The new item is sold in the Jam Session. It's a saxophone, and sadly only for members of the club. Wouldn't it be cool if you could use the instrument accessories to make music outside of the Jam Session? It may get a bit annoying, but it's an idea right? :)

And now onto the main part of this post. On my friend's blog, she shared something that I found really interesting. I wanted to show it to you all too.

Click the image above to make it legible.
Take a look at the words underlined in red. "If the reports are true that Greely has recently returned to Jamaa with urgent news, it can only mean that the Phantoms are on the move."
How could I have missed this before? I swear that they didn't edit it. Look at some of the pictures of this article when it first came out. You'll notice the bottom is still there. Also, look at some of the other shaman posts for similar hints.

I am fairly certain there will be a phantom war. Maybe not even a war, just a conflict to some degree. But there IS a major possibility that there will be a very large phantom war. Why do I think so? They have been working on this for about an entire year. The first "soon there will be an adventure" happened in August. Last summer. No word of adventure followed until APRIL of the next year. It was after August that they started throwing AJ ads on EVERY website. I swear, I'd visit any website with ads on a computer that's never been on AJ, but on almost all of the sites there is an AJ ad. You could easily tell that the reason for the ads is money. They needed a lot of money and time to work on it. The war is coming soon, and for one I'm anxious and excited. This war is probably the only thing that will get my best IRL friend to go on AJ. Animal Jam is so boring without her. But aside from that, the phantom war seems so close that it's no longer even a rumor. Animal Jam was releasing more merchandise than it has before, ads were on every single website, the Tooltip glitch with the tail armor can NOT be just a mistake, and there are so many hints that it's almost definite that there will be a phantom war.

This is going to be big, that's all I can say.

RIM– Rare Camouflage Boots

Hey jammers! The new item of the day is a Rare Item Monday, of course because today is monday. This time it's sold in Jam Mart Clothing.

An idea of mine about what AJHQ could do is color a member item in something different, but release it as a nonmember item. You know, like freedom masks and freedom wings. Just for once, and I'm sure 99.7% of all AJ players would like that.

Speaking of items, I had an idea for a new den item. I want to know what you think about it. I typed into the (?) button in Jam Mart Clothing, "Nonmember Dream Catcher." I had gotten the idea randomly. If dream catchers come out, would they be something you would put in your den?

And again with items, a new and cool (haha. Horrible pun.) item was released at the Summer Carnival den shop.

This is the ice cream cart, an interactive item that when clicked, gives you an ice cream that floats by your head. There are a bunch of flavors, including vanilla and my favorite, mint chocolate. :)

Before I depart, I will give you a hint (or possible hint) about the rumored Phantom War Update.

I think that this hatch leading underground may be opened. In the early thought of this rumor, AJHQ sent out messages saying things such as "find places to hide from phantoms!" This place may be used as a safe house to hide from phantoms, or turned into something completely different.

That's all for now. Ciao! :)

Monocle + New Gallery Feature

Hey jammers! The new item of today is sold in Jam Mart Clothing.

I really like this item. :) Very steampunk.

In other news, AJ has added a new feature to submitting your work, let it be for the gallery, news crew, or a contest.

This makes submitting work a bit easier. When I click the "send to AJHQ" button at the bottom of my finished drawing in the art studio, I don't know for sure whether it's just going to sit somewhere or actually be used in the gallery.
Speaking of which, I send in about 21 (average number) drawings every update to AJHQ, hoping they'll be used in the gallery. So far, none of them got in. :( I drew some elaborate drawings and forgot to save them, so they're lost forever. I really hope I at least get a howl published.

That's all for now, Jammers. See you in Jamaa!

A Newbie's Guide To The Summer Carnival

With the second arrival of the yearly summer carnival, there are some jammers who only just made accounts this year and aren't yet fully acquainted with it. While most of them have probably already got all they need to know off of other blogs, this post is for the percentage that haven't.

I present to you, The AJ Newbie's Guide to the Summer Carnival. Enjoy, and tell your other confused friends all about it.

______________________________________________

First of all, the summer carnival is a party that can be accessed 24/7 all summer long. You can get to it by clicking the top "SUMMER CARNIVAL" button on the party menu or one of the signs scattered across Jamaa.

When you arrive in this digital party, you will be at the center, close to a bunch of wood boxes filled with things. What do you do at this party, exactly? You can do a number of things, such as get cotton candy.

If you move to your left a little, a stand and a game symbol will come into view. You can click the symbol to choose your cone and your flavors.

Your cotton candy will be seen floating by your animal's head.

There are games, too! What would a carnival be without games? All of the games (as usual) have phantoms involved somehow. There's Whack-a-Phantom, Phantom Ball, another phantom related game, and Candy Catch. Candy Catch has phantoms floating around in the background.

There is also a print-and-play tent with a few word searches and things to draw on in real life.

Close to the print and play tent is Phantom Ball, the game that earns you the most tickets faster. If played right, of course.

Once you have a target, click the screen. Then, when the arrow is filled enough so it fires with enough velocity to get to the target, click to shoot the phantom ball.

Close to the Phantom Ball is another phantom related game. You use bows and arrows to shoot balloons and phantoms.

When you shoot a letter balloon, a letter in the word "phantom" is lit up and if all of them light up, you get a lot of points. When you shoot a balloon with arrows on it, you get extra arrows, as you have limited ammo in the game. Don't let the phantoms get too close, you'll lose arrows!

On the other side of the carnival, a couple of more games are set up: Whack-a-Phantom and Candy Catch.

In this game, there are a number of holes. Once every two seconds, some phantoms pop up. There are red-eyed phantoms (don't hit them!), normal phantoms (hit them), and golden phantoms. (They're elusive and get you more points, hit them quickly!)

Just to the right of Whack-a-Phantom stands Candy Catch, a fast-paced game where you catch candy and avoid the phantoms falling with it.
It doesn't get you many points because of it's difficulty, but it's fun nonetheless.

And for all of you who have a lot of gems, but not much gaming skill, there is the ticket shop.

You can buy tickets to spend on cool prizes when you don't have much time to earn them all through the games.

When you've acquired a fair amount of tickets, you can spend them away at the various prize booths in the carnival. They have pet plushies, bright clothing items, and a new addition this year; den items! They sell both member only items and items for everyone, but the items that can be bought by nonmembers are hard to come by.

Enjoy the carnival! :)

Strange Wolf Glitch

Hey jammers! There isn't really much to tell you about today's mini item update, aside from a strange but small glitch. But first, let's get to the item, shall we?

Today's new item is...

A mystery item! It isn't in any of the Jamaa shops, nor is it in the Summer Carnival. It's most likely in the Jam Session, which isn't on for some time. If you spot it before me, post a comment! :)

And now for the glitch that I told you all about at the top of this post. I swear I used to have my own picture, but then my lap top spazzed up and it got permanently deleted. :(

(This picture is not mine. It's credit goes to various sources all of which are not me.)

With this glitch, wolves' pictures are filled with some sort of raspberry color. It's since been fixed, but it's still something.

That's all for now. See you in Jamaa! :)

The Summer Carnival is Back!

Hey jammers! Sorry for not posting yesterday. I had a large essay to write. Well, now that I'm back, I can tell y'all about the latest update.

The majority of the Jamaa Journal is filled with what you could call advertisements or filler. Just a lot of sections saying "Come visit the Jam Session Party!" or reminding everyone once again that AJHQ is taking away the large land mammals. Since there's just a lot of that, I'll skip to the main focus of this month's first update.

The summer carnival is back, and much earlier than it came last year. This year we only got one update of notice before it actually arrived, whilst last year many anxious updates passed until June.
The summer carnival has brought with it the same music, same games, same cotton candies, and the same clothing items. But there are some new den items too, including a nonmember balloon thingy!

And with this update, in early preparation for summer, AJ has released a nonmember head flower!

This cutesy accessory is sold in Jam Mart Clothing.

Before I go, I want to add something scientific into this post. Because, ya know. Science is cool. I learned that in Earth's early period of life when dinosaurs and giant millepedes existed, there was a very large amount of oxygen in the air. It was much larger than now, and was the main cause for dinosaurs to evolve. Why? Because the large amount of oxygen triggered plants and animals to grow to massive proportions. As time went on, however, the amount of oxygen decreased, and that is why dinosaurs can't naturally re-evolve today. Interesting, right?

That's all for now. I hope everyone has a good weekend! :)

Watermelon + Rare Items

Hello players of Animal Jam! Today's new item is sold in Jam Mart Furniture.

AJHQ is finishing up the "Grow a garden" theme with this group of vegetables and released the second-to-last fruit. Now only the pumpkin (which will probably be for members only) remains to be released, and there is a large chance non members will only be able to make tomato gardens.

In other news, AJHQ published this article on their blog.

(You can click this to enlarge it.)

That's all for now. Ciao! :)

Rare Item Monday– Rare Sombrero

Hey jammers! Today is monday once again, bringing the weekend to a close. Let's look at this week's R.I.M. shall we?

Sold: Bahari Bargains
Cost: 800 gems
Availability: Members Only

I like the colors of this one a lot! But because the oceans are usually deserted, they probably won't be very popular. Either way, these are pretty cool.

I made another water color painting over the weekend. A few, actually, but the majority are failures. This one is of a pear.

What do you think? Comment below! :)

That's all for now. Have a great monday!

Buddy of the Month– May 2013

Hey jammers! Sorry about this late BOTM post, they always turn out late for some reason. That reason is probably because I forget things I have to do too easily.

The buddy of the month is...

Candylady1436!

We first met in Sarepia Forest. I was looking for a clan, because I was a little bit bored and every other clan I asked to be part of either refused or ignored me. She was with a couple of other wolves, and was talking... you know, about clan stuff. I asked her if it was a clan, she said it was, and admitted me into it happily. I remember the name of the clan vaguely: Werewolf Clan. There were some other wolves who paraded into Sarepia, demanding that we leave and the forest be for themselves. There was a lot of digital fighting and whatnot, and they left. Since that day we were great friends. She made cutesy coffee shops and stuff in her den and I'd help out, I'd defend her when people were mocking her, and we role-played together. The clan faded out rather quickly, actually, because it got boring. But all in all, this was one of the longest AJ friendships I had. Sadly, we grew apart in the late summer last year, and she only came around occasionally to say "Hi." and have small talk conversations. On my buddy list it says that she's not been online for more than 30 days. Despite that we've since separated, it was a very important friendship to me and I wish I made her the BOTM earlier so she would have seen.
Oh well.

Thanks for reading, and if you're upset that you weren't Buddy of the Month today and were waiting patiently, there is a large chance that you will be chosen in the future. In fact, I think this blog will be up for so long that I'll get to all of the active users on my buddy list for BOTM. :)
