Twisty Turny Strategies

Hey Jammers! As promised, here's a (hopefully helpful!) guide to the new seasonal labyrinth adventure, Twists and Turns.

I've included a guide to getting the prizes you want, not getting lost looking for keys, as well as some fun secrets! Without any more delay, here's the full guide! Happy adventuring!

• • • •

You start out at the entrance of the corn maze. (Duh, would you just teleport to the center?) A koala named Bowie fills you in on what you need to know about the maze. Basically, it's a maze! Only it's filled with *GASP* treasure! Explore around, look for keys to treasure chests, treasure chests to keys... and keep an eye out for the special labyrinth prizes! They look like this:

What makes them so special? For starters, they're big and shiny and pretty. They're also the only treasure chests that contain Twists-and-Turns items!

There are other, smaller item-bearing treasure chests, but the items you get from them are similar to the prizes in Sky High. Could be a pirate sword, could be a necklace! There's no way to tell!

FYI, the smaller treasure chests that have Sky High items look like the basic adventure treasure chests. Here's a guide:

Even the colorful chests that we're so persuaded to scour the area for keys for just yield around 250 gems a box. Funny thing is that neither the seasonal item box nor the Sky High box need keys!

Something else I noticed is that the map of Twists and Turns doesn't really change, or at least it hasn't in the few times I've went through it. If this isn't a coincidence, this means that I could tell you exactly where all the chests and keys are located– but where's the fun in that?

However, I will give you the location of one chest that holds a seasonal item:

You see where the blue dot on the mini map is? Download and open this screenshot up, shrink your browser a little so you can see both Animal Jam and the screenshot, then while playing Twists and Turns, try to follow where you see that blue dot in the screenshot is!

Speaking of that, there's a method I find very helpful for labyrinth adventures that's similar.

While playing Twists and Turns, do you find the location of a blue key, pick it up, but before you find a blue box you find a red one? Isn't it annoying that you have to drop your blue key and search an eternity for a red key, then forget where the red box even was?

Well, be annoyed no more! Here's how to fix that:

Step 1: Find any color box or any color key. For this example, I have found a blue key. Disregard that in this screenshot I have picked it up! Don't do that yet!

Step 2: Take a screenshot that includes the key/box as well as the blue dot's placement on the mini map.

Step 3: Shrink your browser or move it to the side so there can be room for the screenshot. Open up the screenshot to the side of your browser.

Step 4: Look around some more, and if you happen upon a blue box to go with a blue key, take the same type of screenshot of the box. Then, use the screenshot to guide you back to where you found the blue key.

Finally, use the second screenshot you took of the box to guide you back to it. Easy! :D

Moving on, I'm sure you must be interested in the types of prizes you can get here. Here's all I've gotten so far:

It's mostly last year's Twists and Turns items, but the autumn leaf lamp is definitely new. I'll show you more new prizes as I get more! :)

Prizes, however, are not the main point of Twists and Turns, as items themselves are not the main points of Animal Jam. Let's not forget the great Jammers from all over the world who join you on your quest for treasure hidden in the Autumn leaves. Here are some wise words they've shared with me, wisdom that I shall never forget:

...And let's not forget the beautiful fall scenery that AJHQ has painstakingly drawn into digital form:

While at times Twists and Turns can seem like a chaotic labyrinth of no return, it's honestly more fun than frustrating:

And don't forget to stop for hot chocolate and donuts along the way:

That's all for now, Jammers, happy adventuring!

Arctic Foxes on the Moon

Hey Jammers! I've been really busy with schoolwork lately, midterm projects and other boring stuff. I take little breaks off of posting to get my stuff done early so it doesn't build up and I can save a time to make bigger posts for y'all.

Today's post is certainly big. Thursday is update day, of course!

November's much-beloved seasonal labyrinth has returned for one and all to enjoy and get lost in. Explore the apple orchard, the secret society of sunflowers, the corn, and don't forget to stop for donuts along the way!

Expect a very helpful strategy guide tomorrow!

Good news for AJ members: now you can store all 300 of your spike collars on one account!

Meanwhile, it's official: arctic foxes have been confirmed as the next new animal! Let's all welcome Vulpes lagopus to Jamaa!

I'm guessing bats as the new animal will happen a little later, or perhaps not at all. I can't imagine how they'd pull it off!

Scroll down a little to understand why I made the title what it is...

Go check out the new Astronomy Shop in Sol Arcade! Here's what they currently have for sale:

I've always loved AJ's mystical starry items and rooms. Think the top floor of the Chamber of Knowledge.

I hope we'll get a (nonmember!) blanket that looks like a starry sky. I would snap that up so quick that the entire game would glitch.

Speaking of nonmember, look what just got its availability changed back:

If you're interested, go grab it before it disappears!

Last of the Jamaa Journal, here's an ad:

Thanks for reading this far, guys! Aside from the Astronomy Shop, here are the new items:

I love that planter so much! You'd think it would be in Treetop Gardens, but it's actually sold in Jam Mart Furniture. Confusing!

Respectively, the turkey hat is sold in Jam Mart Furniture. Pay a visit to Jamaa Township's sister shops for the new Feast of Thanks items~

Speaking of the Feast of Thanks, the loading screens changed!

I love them, they're just so adorable and warm! Now I want blueberry pie lol

With the passing of October, the phantoms have packed their bags full of evil and left Jamaa– for now.

Jamaa is clear of the phantoms' miasma, allowing pumpkins to be harvested and set out all around Jamaa for Jammers to stare at. At least I think that's where they're all coming from, right? I hope the pumpkin-zombie apocalypse isn't upon us... That would be bad...

That's all for now, Jammers. Expect a post all about the newest adventure "Twists and Turns" tomorrow!

My Birth Flower :D

Hey Jammers! Happy November AKA my birth month! And with my birth month comes my birth flower: the lovely chrysanthemum!

These are really pretty looking. Have I ever mentioned how much I just love Animal Jam's art style? It's earthy yet gorgeously mystical at the same time. I can't name another kids game that has such talented artists. Really, I can't.

This Chrysanthemum will be available in Treetop Gardens for the duration of November, so you can take your time. (>^-^)>

Speaking of the new month, did you know that there's a superstition that if you say the phrase "Rabbit! Rabbit! Rabbit!" first thing in the morning of the first day of the month that you'll have good luck? My friend told me that yesterday, but the first thing I said this morning was "Mom what day is it" so I guess I'll have to wait until December. XD

Over in Jam Mart Clothing, Night of the Phantoms has already ended and Feast of Thanks items are pushing all the masks and costumes aside.

I'm not a big fan of this item, but it's a welcome change from all the Night of the Phantoms stuff. I don't know about you, but until next year I don't wanna see another Jack-o-Lantern again. XD

That's all for now, Jammers. See you in Jamaa and I hope that all who celebrated it had a fantastic Halloween! :D

Happy Halloween!

Hey Jammers! No complete post today (because I'm getting ready for Halloween :P) but I do have the new items for y'all:

Finally, the last Night of the Phantoms items have arrived in Jam Mart Clothing and Jam Mart Furniture. Is that a bunny figurine I spy inside the Trick-or-treat Bucket?

That's my attempt at recreating the bunny figurine with text symbols. ^

In slightly more personal news, my brother recently started playing Animal Jam again!

Now, back to Jamaa:

Because it's the best day of October I've decided to unlock my den for today and tonight! There's not much to see aside from my bad decorating and I probably won't be online until later at night, but just if you're curious or want a place to sit around with your friends, it's open!

I'm going to have to wrap up this post a little prematurely because I have to be at my friends house soon. To all those who celebrate it, have a happy Halloween! To all those who don't, I hope you have a lovely Saturday! :D

New Animal is a BAT?

Happy day before Halloween– to all those who celebrate it! What will you be masquerading as tomorrow?

I'm going to go as a panda princess (duh) because I have a black and white dress as well as a plushy panda hat. :D

Okay, now onto the main subject of this post. You know how the new animal is pretty clearly an arctic fox? Well, Bat Conservation International has something to say about that...

And to prove this screenshot isn't photoshopped, here's a follow-up from a fan:

Alright...

Alright...

So what's going on here?

It could be that Bat Conservation International is confused, because I don't think they'd be aloud to leak something as important as the next new animal WHILE partnering up with Wildworks. It's kind of strange that at first they'd just blurt it out in the comments because it's sure to cause confusion– isn't it hinted heavily that the new animal will be an arctic fox?

I think the most likely explanation for this is that arctic foxes WILL be the new animal to come out first. Following the fox, the bat will be the next one. This is pretty confusing considering that bats are associated with Halloween and they'd miss the chance to come out closer to that day.

Regardless, I hope Bat Conservation International doesn't get in too much trouble! D:

I'm sorry l haven't been posting so much lately. I swear I do not get this much homework every day! I've also been feeling a little sick and stressed with some stuff, but this will pass and you'll no longer have to put up with annoyingly short posts for long.

Until then, here's my friend's cool alter-ego: bread bear.

Fighting evil by moonlight,

winning love by daylight,

never running from a real fight!

She is the one named Bread Bear!

That's all for now, see you in Jamaa!
