Den Tips For Non Members

Hello again jammers! This post is about (as you have probably read from the title) den tips for non member dens. Non members aren't given as much variety in items and colors as the members, so it can be a bit hard decorating your den in a way that you like. These are more like ideas instead of tips, actually. You don't have to do any of them!

1. Use this ledge as a shelf

I "discovered" this one in early September and have put my favorite plushies up there ever since. There isn't really a shelf-like item for non members, so this is a good place to store things and still have them in view.

2. Hang things from this entrance

Those hanging snowflakes above are used as a good example for this. You can hang a lot of other stuff from there too! Flags, banners, lights… and a bunch of other things that I'm too lazy to mention!

3. Decorate outside of the den

You don't have to keep all of the decorations indoors. You can put some outside as well! You could create a forest of seasonal trees surrounding the den, make a garden, or anything you want!

4. Use shoji screens as room separators

When you first make an AJ account, you're only given one room to decorate. However, you can use shoji screens to create walls and doors and make different rooms!

5. Make the den your own!

This is probably the best thing to do with your den: have the den mirror your personality! If you like wolves, you can display a collection of wolf plushies! If you like the color green, you can try to trade for green colored items and have your den match! If you like fire… you can buy a lot of tiki torches and  make your den look like it's burning! I admit, thats a little violent, but still. Good idea for someone who likes fire, right? It could also be a cool set for someone who likes to make those AJ music videos that I see a lot… Just an idea.

See you in Jamaa! :)

Clover Blanket

Hello jammers! As I said a few days ago, I'm playing around with fonts to see which one I like best. Anyway, the news for today is the non-member and semi-rare item that popped back into stores!

These blankets are sold in the Cocoa Hut on Mt. Shiveer. I was excited with the rerelease of this clothing item, but you can easily win them in Sky High. I don't usually want everything rare and unattainable, but that took the excitement out of it for me.

Sorry for the short post, but today I updated a bunch of the blogs I own/am part of. Including a new Berry The Koala entry!

Be sure to check it out. See you in Jamaa!

Buddy of the Month – March

Hello jammers! Some of you may have noticed the change of months, and have also noticed that I haven't posted the Buddy of the Month yet. I'm sorry for being so late…

The buddy of March is….

Gringersnap!

I don't know why I didn't choose Gringersnap sooner. She is the ideal Buddy of the Month. Despite not being online often, when Gringersnap is, she's very nice to me and fun to be around.
Gringersnap has an amazing blog which she updates every day. It's called The Animal Jam Expert, and I really think you should go check it out. It's one of my favorites. :)

I apologize if you are on my buddy list and were sad that you weren't chosen this month. I don't like you any less than the jammers featured here, and you will be eventually chosen. :)

Post about the daily item coming soon!

Info Post #1: The Water Bear

Hello! DoomyPanda here. This is my weekly informational post. Today, I'll talk about the not as well-known animal, the water bear.

They are tiny, eight-legged animals that live in water. They are chubby, and adults are averagely one millimeter long. Another name (and a more official one) you can call them is "Tardigrade"

They are amazing. Why? I'll tell you why.

Water bears can live through insanely cold and massively hot temperatures. They can survive extreme pressure, radiation so great that it would kill a human in less than seconds, and have the ability to live comfortably in outer space. That's not all they can do! The water bear can go without any of it's crucial resources (food and water) for years.

There was a story that I once heard about a water bear. It was trapped inside a moss display (a food source of the water bear) in a museum, in a sealed glass case. It was only 125 years later did a scientist take the moss out of the glass and dropped a bit of water on it. The water bear woke up and scurried away.

Despite being a water-dwelling creature, water bears can survive in the driest deserts and coldest climates. They shut down their body, and become… almost dead. They can go on like this for an astounding amount of time. When their body senses water, they wake up.

Another fact is that water bears are not the product of artificial gene alterations. They were not created in labs. There are fossils of their ancestors dating back to the Cambrian period; when shelled organisms such as Trilobites thrived.

I hope you enjoyed this post. :)

Clover Cape

Hello jammers! Today there is one new item. It's an underwater clothing item!

Even though the picture on the cape barely looks like a clover, I still think it's pretty cool.

Since there's nothing much left to discuss, here is AJHQ's post about the Lucky Party.

"Hey! You there! I can talk! Isn't this amazing? Click to be able to read me!" – This Screenshot

On another note, remember when I used to post an animal fact every week because AJHQ took away the nature facts? I'm going to start doing something like that again. Although this time, it will be an entire post without the daily item and such. Even though AJ has new items every day, items aren't the reason that Jamaa exists.
Anyway, these facts will mostly be about overlooked animal species, not-very-well-known plants, and of course, saving the wild.
I have a particularly interesting one for you tomorrow… But I'm not telling you what it is yet! MUAHAHA! I'M SO MILDLY EVIL!

See you in Jamaa!
