100K Party Details

Alright! As you hopefully know, I'm having a sort of virtual party on AJ to commemorate this blog reaching 100,000 views. I've organized out the details of when it will be here in this post:

This event will take place in DoomyPanda's Den, on the server Drava.

The date will be Saturday, April 11th and the time will be 4:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. 

If you're confused about what 4:30 PM EDT will be in your own time zone (if it's not EDT already), use this very simple time zone converter. Here's an example of what to put in:

You put in the time you want converted to your own time to the boxes on the left, and then type in your own time zone on the lower box of the right side to generate what time it will be on your clock when it's time for my AJ party.

If you want to periodically check the time over here, then simply google search "eastern daylight time" and the time where I am shows up like this:

NOTE: My timezone is Eastern DAYLIGHT Time, NOT Eastern Standard Time. Saying "Standard" when I really meant "Daylight" is a mistake I made in the past.

Happy 100,000 Pageviews!

HAPPY 100,000 PAGEVIEWS, ANIMAL JAM STREAM!!!

It's been almost three whole years of blogging solo about AJ. Thats right! No one else, just DoomyPanda the magnificent! 

I remember getting so excited about just hitting my 20,000 mark and now I'm thinking about how long that was ago. It's unbelievable for me how far I've come since then. Now 100,000? I can't handle this! I! Cant! Handle! This!

But you know how I'm gonna handle it?

I'm gonna have a party on AJ, and every single one of you is invited. 

The reason why I don't normally have parties is because no matter how many people RSVP, like only one person shows up and I've never found out why. I'm hoping in my heart of hearts that this time, this one time, these 100,000 page views will back me up enough so that I can have more.

I will be having the party sometime next weekend, but I will post up the details maybe tomorrow when I've finalized them.

Also, by now you've probably noticed that I've changed the theme of my blog to something a little (a lot) more colorful, and well, just overall more themed. I thought the old background was a bit dark and depressing and I had recently found an HQ version of the stream background, which I love because it's colorful, lively, and fitting to our name!

I'm still working on the header though, so it's not over yet! I just need to convert it to a .png...

But before I go, I'd like you all just to do a little something for me. Could you comment something under this post? Anything– your Animal Jam history, your favorite things about AJ, recommendations for the future of AJ Stream– and more. Just anything you want, really, as long as it's not just "cookiez XD" or spam. It would really make my day 10000x better than it already is to just receive one comment.

Spring Festival w/ Strategies!

✿ Hey Jammers! ✿

Yesterday I played through the full seasonal adventure, Spring Festival. Through the time that I played it, I collected screenshots and learned a few tips and strategies that helped me along.

Sooo... let's jump right in!

All the characters in the adventure are cinnamon colored rabbits whose names always have something to do with candy.

Here's the the full map:

You can click this image to make it bigger. It's in the shape of a smiling flower, which I like a lot! It's not only cute, but it allows you to be more organized with egg hunting. Start off with the center part of the flower then go to each petal one at a time, like this:

If you want to get this search done as easy as possible, it's very important that you do this. In addition, here are some general tips:

✿ Again, search each petal one at a time. You'll be mulling over the map a thousand times over to find that last egg if you just go wherever.

✿ Go over each petal thoroughly. Leave no egg standing!

✿ Use the map. It would also be helpful if you occasionally magnified it, too, just to see exactly what details you missed.

✿ Always keep a pitcher of water with you just in case you come upon a plant in need of it. Those plants contain golden eggs, and within those golden eggs are prizes!

✿ When you're calling for people to dance at the lotus or the daisies, say stuff like "GOLDEN EGG WITH PRIZE OVER HERE, THREE OPENINGS LEFT!!!" instead of "plz plz dance over here!!" Act like the golden egg is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME treasure, exaggerate.

Note: You can get water from wells around the small dens as well as from the rivers.

Bring a watering can over to these plants to grow a daisy! At the center of that daisy is a golden egg with a den item prize inside. :)

And now, I've brought all of my prizes into my den for you to see:

You see that cluster of colorful eggs in the center? That's the big prize (for me) at the end. The rest I got from the golden eggs. 

Another thing: you get a golden egg/treasure every time you finish a section of eggs, as well as in the four player dance things and in watered daisies. :)

Springtime Festival Update!

Hey Jammers! Sorry for the late post, again. I thought it wouldn't take me that long to finish the Springtime Egg Hunt... I was wrong. I was so, terribly wrong.

But it's finally springtime in Jamaa! Flowers are blooming and everything is beautiful, just look~!

I'm also starting to see flowers IRL, too. Crocuses and sprouts everywhere– I just can't wait for the tree leaves to be lush and green again. :)

So let's get this update started with the Jamaa Journal:

I had heard that the text from this update's Journal was leaked through a glitch last week. Either AJHQ is having some real struggles with glitches, or just likes getting us all excited– a lot of people had this info before the update. AJHQ has such a strong reign on chats and chat logs, but glitches? Maybe later...

But I really do wonder why AJ is acting so glitchy now. It didn't used to be this way! I wonder what the problem/s is.

So onto the actual content of the front page: come to the Spring Festival seasonal adventure and collect some eggs! I have played the game all the way through 1 and a half times (started, got to 65, computer froze, restarted) and I have many screenshots and strategies prepared for tomorrow's post. :)

The new adventure is great, as predicted, but I do miss the egg hunt in Jamaa that used to happen during previous years. Ah well– maybe further into April that'll happen?

Either it's me or some new artists, but I feel like Animal Jam is slowly losing it's "natural" style and trying to get more colorful. Maybe I'll write AJHQ– because despite all of the games flaws, one of the even MORE great things is that AJHQ actually listens to the players. :)

So den item set contests don't determine what stays and what goes– every option will be released eventually. Nice!

Polar bears are leaving as soon as they got here. Go get one today! If you buy one once, you'll be able to buy one anytime, even if they are traveling.

And finally, a last page mystery! This could mean a multitude of things, all of them exciting: gecko pets, gecko animals, gecko parties, gecko adventures, geCKO INVASION—

...But I'm sure we can all agree that that image right there depicts a gecko. And if it's gecko themed on AJ, it's probably gonna be cool. :)

And now, the new items:

Here we have the next collectible flower sold up in Treetop Gardens. Time to go add this to my storage account's garden...

Of course we also have these Deep Space items, and of course only one is nonmember:

The three items here are the wacky item, the zany item, and the silly item. But sadly I'm not a member, so unlike last time I can't show you what they are or what they do.

Try to persuade a member friend to show you them! :)
