Hey Jammers! Even though I've been really busy in my life this school year, I promise to all of you that I will not stop posting. I'm not losing interest in AJ or AJ blogging– I'm just going through some difficulties right now. Sorry for the lack of content– but it won't be forever!
That being said, I promise to post AT LEAST every biweekly update, even while I'm busy.
It's not the biweekly update today, but a small thing in The Lost Temple of Zios has been on my mind today:
The four flowers.
When you click them, they make a whimsical little sound and change colors, but did you know that they do something special when all four become the same color? (Other than white, that is)
I made a post about this in the early days of Animal Jam Stream, but I thought I'd revisit it with a little experiment:
How many clicks does it take to get all the flowers the same color?
How much time?
So I set a stopwatch and started clicking...
Halfway through, I noticed the four flowers did a little bit of the special thing when the top two and the bottom left one change to the same color. It happened pretty fast so I didn't get a screenshot, but I thought it was worth noting.
I counted each time I clicked on the flowers (though I may have skipped a number or two, you never know).
And finally...
After 3 minutes, 39 seconds, and 97 clicks, all the flowers were blue! As you can see, when all the flowers are the same color, they send up sparkly dusty stars that may supposed to be pollen.
So does it take the same amount of clicks every time? Or is it randomly decided when the four flowers will match?
To get to the bottom of this mystery, and to add more content to this post, I repeated this experiment...
Same as last time, halfway through the top and bottom left flowers matched, BUT they didn't show any sparkles at all, so forget what I said up above lol
After 74 clicks exactly, the mystery is now solved:
The amount of clicks it takes to get the four flowers to match is completely random!
I hope this experiment was at least a little bit more interesting than showing you the new items ^^;
Speaking of new items, a little PSA about the Jambassador Plushies that are slowly being released:
Not only is the Chocolate4Froggy plushie available in the Flamingo Claw, ALL of the above plushies are going to be available in their respective Claws soon.
The CupcakeCeline one and the Pugfluff one already are in the bunny and otter claws, and the WisteriaMoon one will be in the Wolf Claw on November 1st.
So don't go trading all your favorite items for these yet! In fact, we don't know if more won't come out in the Claw, so to be safe, just don't trade for them for a while.
This has been a PSA~
Alright, Jammers. See you in Jamaa!

More Phantoms + New Animal Hint
Hey Jammers! I logged in today and saw that AJ updated this Thursday, so I thought I'd go over it with ya :)
Coyotes and hyenas have returned! Aaaaannd, as always, I never noticed them leave in the first place... XD
The Epic Haunted Manor is back! It's like the Spooky Den, only it has a radioactive sludge pool and a spooky cliff. I wonder– did this den replace the Spooky Den, or was it just an addition? Hm...
Speaking of the Spooky Den, the Spooky Party is back!! Yay!!! I love this party a lot more than the Haunted Forest Party– the colors are more muted and spooky >:)
And next up, a little mystery...
I recommend that you click the image above so you can read the riddle and study the image up close!
Pay attention to the footprints... notice anything odd? Well, there is what looks to be a chunky moose antler in the way back, but I'm not sure what it is for certain.
Personally, I'm hoping that those frosting squiggles mean that snakes are finally coming to Jamaa, but what the riddle could also imply is that even though there are familiar footprints, they might be from a new animal anyway. Meaning, we might just get another animal similar to some we already have.
Still, I appreciate this little riddle! It really spices up an otherwise mundane Jamaa Journal :)
Cool costumes are here! I really love the tiger in phantom armor– bonus points for being nonmember ^-^
I wish the Wizard Hat was nonmember too, that would be so cool!!!
And if you look in Jam Mart Clothing we have a new nonmember item: the Bat Amulet! I'd model it but necklaces are always hard to see on pandas XD
Aaaaaand, a reminder about Desktop AJ! I personally prefer browser, but this is a good back-up option nonetheless.
In the spirit of the Night of the Phantoms, want me to show you what I think the spookiest den item is? Not the scariest den item, of course... in my opinion, the scariest den items are from that Cereal set that I really want to push out of my head o_o
But in my opinion, the spookiest item is...
This version of Scary Eyes! It looks even creepier (in a cool way) if you see it actually animated
I haven't seen it rereleased in recent years– maybe because it's just that spooky :0
Alright, that's all the news-worthy stuff I have for today.
See you in Jamaa, and happy Night of the Phantoms!

Rare Jambassador Plushies + Feral Guesses + Phantom Night
Hey Jammers! Forgot to post on the Thursday update, but Jamaa is all spooky now!!!
Phantoms, Jack-o-Lanterns, and the eerie dark night that blankets Jamaa Township every October, leaving all the Jammers in a spooky fog for the duration of this very spooky season...
And like every Night of the Phantoms, there's candy!
And even better– bat facts!!!
Difficult commented in my last post that he thought these might be new facts. At first I thought they might just be reused from last year, but maybe they ARE new! I'm glad they're writing the sources in the bottom corners now, too.
But who could forget one of the main events of the Night of the Phantoms? It is during this holiday that the veil between our world and the phantom world is the thinnest, giving those of us brave enough a chance to sneak a peek inside...
T̘̘̞ͫͣ̎̉̆ͦ̓̽͞͞͡H̜͓̼̦̺ͤ͗ͭ̅Ė̞̘͚̜̊ͦ͒͞͝ ̸̦̖̼͉̯͖̼̍͆͢͡P͚ͨ̀̀͟H̛͈̭̯̪̱̱͎̺͆͂͆̋ͭ̔̽ͩ̔ͅA̔̑̈ͭ̃͏͏̙N̶͎̦̙̦̪͎̹ͧͣͬͦT̗͔͉͚̹͔͇̠͑̎̀̃͒̂̀̾ͦ͠͝O̐͆ͮͨͭͦ̽͏͖̼̘̳̻M̶̝͖̰̮͈̔͗ͩ̊̾̔ͤ̍͝ͅ ̶͉̻̭̦̣͎̝̦ͬ̅̓̈́͟V͔̍͆͑O͉̼̩̼͓̾̋Ŗ͔ͮͦ̒ͬ̈̉̈̀̚̕ͅŢ̦̝͕̊̄́͂̆͡E̴̛̱͖͋̈́ͯ͛̈́̇̇͢X̵̹̯̳̗̽̊͒̏̀͌̂́͠ͅ!!!!!!!
Come one, come all, to the Phantom Vortex! Home to what arguably is Jamaa's most stressful game:
Can you keep your sanity as you desperately try to defend your precious sweets by the light of a single, shivering torch? Can you hold onto hope when inevitably, the darkness will swoop in and steal your candy before you even get the chance to reach the last level?
So you don't have to find out for yourself, I decided to play to see what this year's spooky prize is:
Aaaand, after completing level 5, you get a Chained Zombie Door!
Fits perfectly in a Small House den :D
Originally, I think you had to complete up to 10 levels to get the prize, but they've been making it easier so now it only takes 5 levels.
However... finishing the game is the hard part. Last year, the prize was won so easily, that I had a theory that completely finishing the game 100% gave you a different prize, because defending your candy is so stressful that I'm sure most people would drop the game once they get their prize.
I never tested this theory, because I never ended up beating the game fully... but last year, I figured out that there are at least 13 levels. How far does the Vortex game go? What if it just went on forever because no one could be expected to play beyond level 5 XD
Now THAT would be spooky
Moving on from spooky things... here's a new thing I learned:
These aren't edits, they're real items that came out maybe only a week ago!!!
According to the AJ Wiki, each plushie (with the exception of the chocolate4froggy one, I'll get into that soon) is very very VERY rare. They can only be acquired through a unique code given out by each Jambassador, and each can only give out a plushie code 100 times. Basically, a maximum of 100 of each plushie can exist, which is a very small number.
Chocolate4froggy's plushie, on the other hand, can be won randomly in the Flamingo Claw without limit! So don't go over-trading for one without knowledge or you may regret it.

I'm not too familiar with Jambassadors, but I'm really happy Snowyclaw got a plushie too, even though she doesn't make much content anymore– though she DOES maintain the Animal Jam Archives, which is an awesome resource, and who could forget the wonderful impact the Animal Jam Spirit blog had when it was active?
This plushie series is giving me ideas for Jammer plushie edits... like what would DoomyPanda look like as a plushie? Probably pretty basic because I don't wear cool items lol
Before I go, I wanna leave you with a thought I had earlier:
So over the years, there have been a couple leaks and unreleased items that seem "too violent" for AJ– mostly the above images. The image to the left was thought to be a potential weapons inventory for adventures, and the image to the right was an unreleased item that was turned into a display of flowers for obvious reasons.
Fer.al is going to be rated 13+. Maybe it will be an outlet for some of the """edgier""" ideas AJHQ has had over the years that just aren't right for Animal Jam. Just a little, kinda obvious thought
Alright Jammers, see you in Jamaa!!!!!!!

Little Feral Update + Good News
Hey Jammers! Long time no see. I've been working non stop on a big art project for the past couple weeks that... has nothing to do with Animal Jam :\ please forgive me for the absence
But! It'll be done soon, and I'll have room in my head to think about AJ again XD
So, some quick Fer.al updates!
The homepage changed recently, and you can sign up for updates and *fingers crossed* beta invites! Meaning, if you sign up you have a chance of being allowed to beta test Feral before its open for everyone (13 or older, of course).
Some lil updates from Clark Stacey:
Also, something really cool happened! Like really really really cool!!!
WildWorks has decided to join an alliance of gaming companies/platforms with the goal of reducing/mitigating environmental destruction and climate change! :D
Here's a brief summary of what this all means:
In terms of what Animal Jam will pledge to do do specifically...
Those two pieces are from two different articles. It seems that Animal Jam will... plant a tree for every new Animal Jam player!? Wow! Hopefully that will end up being a lot of trees.
I wanna know the details of this initiative, like where the trees will be planted, when they'll be planted, and how they'll be taken care of. These are all important pieces of information that aren't always clear with initiatives like this. But this is all a good step in the right direction!
Also! Another cool thing WildWorks has pledged to do is something that I've been wishing for for a very long time– incorporate more game elements focusing on environmental restoration. Animal Jam doesn't feel right if it ignores the actual natural world that inspired it, so I hope we all see more educational/natural elements implemented fast.
Very happy today :')
See you in Jamaa! I'll try to post this Thursday (it's the update, right?)
