Zodiac/Horoscope Colorful Clothing Ideas!

Hey Jammers! Once again, I'm walking into a post empty-handed in regards to news– if you want to learn about daily items, The Animal Jam Timber is the way to go. (And Rainbow000Pegasus's blog, but right now she's on a hiatus until the 28th)

For this post, I'd thought I'd come up with some more clothing ideas with the magic of Best Dressed. It's filler, I know, but it's fun filler! Because this time I have a better theme: zodiacs/horoscopes!

So I don't personally believe that the constellation you're born under influences your personality at all, but it can be fun to put yourself into fantasy categories anyway. It's also easier to come up with colors and items that can represent a zodiac sign (signs have colors and motifs associated with them), so I think you'll find these clothing ideas a little better than the ones that have come before on this blog.

If you're not familiar with zodiacs, they depend on when in the year you're born.

Different constellations are thought to be visible from Earth during different times, which is why zodiacs depend on date.

Again, I don't really believe in zodiacs, but they are a lot of fun!

First up, my own sign... Sagittarius:

Also known as The Archer– hence the arrows. Sagittarius people are thought to be adventurous and social, but the only trait associated with Sagittarius that I identify with is "you like to look at maps". That's true. I do like to look at maps. X)

Next, Libra! I designed two for this one. I prefer the second one, but maybe you'll also like the first one.

The sign Libra is associated with balance, harmony, and design.

Now, Aries:

Aries (otherwise known as The Ram) is associated with outspokenness, energy, and daring.

Moving on, Leo! Leo is associated with pride, charisma, and honesty.

You might be wondering where all these traits come from. Well, constellations are just clusters of stars that people have decided look like familiar things. People say that the constellation Leo looks like a lion– so all these traits are just things people associate with lions! (Never mind the fact that each lion has their own personality, but oh well...)

Here's Virgo! Virgo are thought to be diligent workers, quiet or modest, and very observant. I don't know about you, but I really like this dress-up ^-^

Heeeeeere's Gemini! Gemini are thought to have two different sides to them (their symbol is The Twins) so to represent that I used the complementary colors green and pink. Along with that, Gemini are thought to be outgoing and indecisive.

And now, Scorpio. Traits associated with Scorpio are intuition, and the tendency to go deep into things they care about.

Time for Aquarius! This sign is associated with creativity, friendliness, and rebelliousness.

Pisces! Considered idealistic, open to change, and intuitive.

Aaaaand Capricorn! Thought to be ambitious, responsible, and kinda spooky.

Next up, Cancer! Also known as the Crab, Cancers are thought to be sensitive, caring, and protective.

And finally... Taurus!

Also known as The Bull, Taurus is a sign considered determined, grounded, and generous.

At the end of the day, these traits apply to anyone, but tell me what you think in the comments!

I'm going away so I won't be posting for a few days or more, so don't be alarmed! I'll be back soon :)

See you in Jamaa~

Rainbow Clothing Ideas

Hey Jammers! I'm always apologizing for not following my every-other-day posting schedule... but this time I have an excuse! My brother has been using my computer to play Minecraft nonstop for the past 5 days. And in the time in-between, I'm too busy with art :P

For now, as he's still addicted to Minecraft and I'm still spending entire days drawing, I'm gonna step back from that every-other-day promise for a bit. But I make a different promise: at least two posts during the week when I can.

As for this post... it'll be a little short, as there isn't that much content right now. But first, a PSA:

I saw this on The Animal Jam Timber. To me, it seems this hack is harder than actually trading fairly for an item, but all you traders out there beware!

A couple of posts ago, I attempted to figure out some nonmember clothing ideas for y'all, but because I barely have a handful of clothing items right now, it didn't work out so well.

But today, I had a realization! I can just make some in Best Dressed. So that is what I have for you today. They aren't nonmember, though– but I'll do some next time!

These dress-ups are themed around the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

I'll try to make some nonmember next time! There just aren't that many nonmember items in Best Dressed.

On a related note, do you see those Mech Angel Wings in the last image? Yeah, they were actually in Best Dressed before they were sold as actual items!!

(actually, I don't think they were sold– they might have only been available in Sky High, idk)

I remember when they finally came out and everyone was shocked they were nonmember– they're just so cool looking!

Before I go, here's something that I noticed:

This is part of the most recent Animal Jam Box. I don't typically pay attention to AJ Boxes, but this one caught my eye.

Here's some background: Headdresses are no longer, and will never be sold again, because having them as items on a game is pretty disrespectful to many Native American cultures. It makes sense– imagine people coming to your land uninvited, completely destroying it and casting you to the fringes, and reducing an integral aspect of your culture to an accessory. Not cool, to say the least, so I'm happy AJHQ took that into consideration and took a tiny step in the right direction. (In my opinion, AJHQ should probably just delete Headdresses, but they're probably afraid of lots of people getting upset)

Anyways, I looked at this shirt and thought that it's blatantly backtracking from the decision to not sell Headdresses on AJ, even though the shirt doesn't technically have a Headdress. I get they wanted a "bohemian" theme, but there are so many ways to do that that don't involve disrespecting anyone!

You could have that fox above a couple of crossed sticks with colorful leaves sprouting from them, or keep the arrows and just remove the headband. It would look a lot better that way, anyway.

In the end, though, I don't care too much about merchandise. I just thought I'd address it because I haven't seen anyone else talk about it yet.

Coming soon... my blog layout will get updated. Soon. I'm gonna make a couple of test blogs to make different layouts so I can get your advice without messing up my own blog.

How soon will this be coming? Well, as soon as I can X)

See you in Jamaa!

Update + News from Clark Stacey + Question

Hey Jammers! Today was the update, and the next Wild Weekend came with it. Let's see what this one is all about:

New My Shop storefronts! All member's only, naturally, but they look kinda nice.

I'm sure the Floating Fantasy Shop is the favorite of most people (me included). It reminds me of the Fantasy Castle den!

Goats are here! I don't know when they left, but they're back in the Diamond Shop.

The gigantic Beach House is back for the season, as well~

Full-screen mode is here for browser AJ! I tried it out and...

It made the screen slightly bigger, and my already pixelated wolf even more pixelly.

It's probably a different result with other browsers– I think mine may be outdated somehow lol

The old timey 'Fairtime Fun' bundle of den items and clothing items has come to Jamaa:

Reminds me a lot of Mary Poppins

This specific bundle theme is interesting in how specific and unexpected it is. Hmm...

We were right guys, camels are coming to Jamaa! Hopefully they won't look like an obvious edit of the llama.

I wonder when an animal that will have to be designed from the ground up will come– like the hippo, a snake... or a platypus X)

Lastly, the Summer Eggstravaganza pets have been revealed! There's been a lot of creativity with these pets, I've noticed. So many different kinds... it's probably easier to do animations with pets because they have a limited amount of accessories to accommodate.

Alright! Now that we're done with the Jamaa Journal, let's get to some clearance items.

Jam Mart Clothing

Jam Mart Furniture

Outback Imports

Conservation Museum

Epic Wonders

I went to every land shop (I don't have an underwater animal right now) and I also found a couple items in the Appondale Pet Shop that I think everyone forgot about:

I think these were part of the relatively recent summer vacation den item theme.

Before I go, I wanted to share some nice news!

Shoutout to Difficult of the Animal Jam Timber for bringing the attention of Animal Jam's CEO, Clark Stacey, to the lack in educational content in Animal Jam.

Clark responded!! And he said they'll work on it!! Hopefully he means it.

I had sent an Instagram message to Clark Stacey a while ago about this same issue and never got a reply, so I guess he's more active on Twitter.

And another thing...

What do you guys think about this idea?

If it happened, Epic Wonders might get a little more crowded, but I think it makes sense to have one source of "epic" items– it's already selling Diamond items like Peck's Easel.

Also, I just really miss Club Geoz (and the Play Wild Party) and I think it's such a tragedy that it got replaced by Alpha HQ, which I think is so big it feels out of place in Jamaa Township.

Of course, I don't doubt that some people would miss the Diamond Shop. It is a pretty room, so that's why I'm wondering how Jammers would feel about it.

Comment your ideas, and see you in Jamaa!
